you actually should start aiming before you‘re reloaded so that you’re aimed in when the shell is reloaded and can fire immidiately. this is also something I enjoy about the 703 II, I can activate the double shot charge during aiming, thus not losibg time

@@gonozal8_962 if you watch dakis content carefully, he actually starts aiming 1-2 seconds before his gun is reloaded just so he can fire immediately and back off, without being exposed for too long, before or after.

Perhaps on some vehicles, but usualy no, you will dig a whole for them to hide in and warm their air. The first shot has to hit, otherwise you scare them off and they hide for 3 minutes.

To be fair. I can start aiming my FV4005, tab out to a 3rd party website, check where the modules are, on the tank that im aiming at. Tab back in wait a bit long until I am 80% aimed, then fire. Miss, and then pull Back into cover, with only taking 90% of my HP in damage 🤷‍♂️

6:55 HE shells cannot bounce, but they can shatter like every other shelltype.. if your AP is not able to penetrate the armor it hits, the armor will just block the shell. The shell itself is neither bounced nor vanished, its just shattered.

Little tip for every one, 3 caliber rule doesn't mean autopen, I experienced that many times when I was getting 3moe on O-Ho with bazooka.

If I remembe correctly, it gives the shell huge normalization and it can't ricochet. But it still needs enough pen to go though the armor.

alright so, wargaming saying "HE shell never bounce off" they probably mean that they can't ricochet, there's no extreme angle for an HE shell to literally bounce from like AP or APCR or even heat. But with the old HE i once bounced a shell of a tiger 1 lol

Also, HE will always deal at least 1 dmg upon hitting actual armor (not a screen or module).

Perhaps they expected the enemy to move in that direction. Enemies do not stop and wait for your hit before moving on, though it often seem like it in streamer videos.

@@LokiMM-c2t what i mean is that the showcase was a complete static player he was not meant to move so why have the crosshair not in the center. And yeah they move but if you shoot far back on a moving player you miss almost every time bc of shell speed not being instant as it shouldn't be aimed unless you play like leo 1 than you can shoot lights more instant and to preaim for it.

one of easiest way to hit EBR is ot use autoaim and wait when it turn directly toward/away from you and then shoot. sometimes turrets just does not rotate fast enough.

My conclusion after playing for more than a decade. The average pleb is comfortable using auto aim and just lob shells into centre of mass. penetration indicator? What is that? Just dab the 2 key to increase chances that something, somehow pens by luck, which inevitable will happen every now and than. Or just spam he, best ammo anyways, has the highest damage number. It´s either that or they just lob shots into the general direction of the enemy in hope something sticks. Once again, this is sadly rewarded every now and than, it´s just a matter of time till rng makes sure you hit a weakspot with a high roll without even knowing about it´s existence. So with that in mind... nothing wg could do to improve the situation. You just can´t teach people that are to unwilling or r*tarded to learn.

6:52 bouncing and HE not penning screens is not the same. bouncing happens when the shell well, bounces off the armor and can hit other tanks. it is not the same as a non pen. 7:43 with non HE shells you are right. but with HE shooting the "edges" is better because the thickness of the base armor is weaker. 15:57 there are also tanks like the Tiger P, Ferdinand, K-91, VK 45.02 A (and B with 150mm+ guns), and so on. the cases you have talked about are also happening for a *lot* of tanks

Hardening increases the track health, but does it affect whether the shell will continue and pen the hull?

I tend to put shots more on the center of what is visible, if there is hull visible, and preferably some weaker parts. A little movement or rng may kick your shot out from the visible target area, and then there is zero chance of pen. After playing for a few years, i notice that the whole aiming business kinda went out the window. I can often not remember seeing any reticle or pen indicator, and yet the shot hit pretty good on side of turret, in lower plates, on front of weaker turrets, in cupolas... there must be a fair bit of experience involved. Daki says "you kinda get a feel for it", his feel is better than mine, but the concept applies to both. If i am not sitting still, on the move i often just turn and fire on instinct, and try to time my shots with the opponent movements. After about 30000 matches you will sort of know what will (should!) pen where, and what will (should!) bounce where, on many targets.

If the he hits armor in steep angle even a thin sheet of armor can absorb it. Thats where the miracle absorbs of 183mm hesh come from. He does not over match and thus a 30mm or 20mm plate in a very steep angle can just absorb the shot fully especialy if traks or spaced armor eat some of the pen.

what are they talking about ricochet angle is different between AP and APCR?? they ricochet both above 70°. might appear like a different angle due to the AP's 5° normalization having way better effect at the 70° than the 2°, but all in all ricochet start at 70° for both.

Well there is diference between bouncing and not penetrating / no effect hit. Many people tend to swap those things, non the less, result is the same = no damage.

Interesting that they never say something about the maximum shell travel distance. Like you can't blindshot more than 719 meters away. So if you shot at a bush at the other side of many maps your shell will never go that far.

@@latvius7600 they are not the same thing. Ricochet is when the angle is too steep and affects only AP and APCR. Bounce is when the effective armor is too high and affects all shell types. Shells that ricochet keep flying but can't ricochet again, shells that bounce disappear. Also, HE will always cause damage if it hits armor (this was changed maybe a couple of years ago, before that HE could do 0 damage), but will not if it only hits spaced armor.

Ricochet/bounce means it didn't pen I could care less if it was angle of armor or to thick. Since this game follows realism so well can you explain in technical terms how an ebr going 100mph can make a 90degree turn without sliding?

Why do they always compare AP and APCR riccochet angles? (5:40) They do have the exact same values, what they always mean by that, is their different normalization, which they already had descriped. Why saying, that AP got better penetration angles than APCR? .. Its just false. HEAT got improved ric. angles, that should be mentioned and is a real difference between AP/APCR and HEAT in terms of riccochetangles and angle related penetration chances

Shooting cheap ammo is a matter of priorities. I do not like to farm credits in one tank in order to play another one. So I would rather lose a game then credits.

I hit Rhm.-B. WT with a FV 4005 gold HE and it managed to ricochet of that paper fin armor and there was one time when the enemy FV 4005 did ricochet with gold HE also when i was playing (B-C 12t) so i guess WG's server was thinking me in B-C and that guy with Rhm was a Maus and that the FV's were using low caliber APCR's instead of GOLD HE's... This is the only thing i could say after WG said that HE is never bounces... :D WG should rename WOT in to +-25% MAGIC SHOW...

Yes, nothing to do with Aiming, but too many people rarely shoot the low HP tonk, or maybe they get hyper-focused, or think, "I can get that guy"!! Also, people also need to learn to gang up (or we said "marry up" in my day) on targets during end-game. Too many players round around singly, and then get picked off one by one. Or as I joke, "people need to read more Sun Tzu" 🙃😜👍

Yes...i call bs on HE does damage all the time. I was playing with 4005 .....i outmanoeuvred a Sheridan....full aim on his back from 40 m.....and 0 damage. That's the reason I don't have that TD anymore 😂😂😂

GLD is only good for artards and I don't consider them tanks - I consider them painful plebs. GLD should never be used on any tank if Stabilisation is available and if its not, use IRM or IA. Never use GLD.

Learn how to aim, so that you can get trolled by the game even more effectively. For example me with Obj 752 shooting at enemy Obj 257´s lower hull. 99% pen chance on average. Ok, first shot: hit, bounce. Fine, maybe I deserve to be in that 1% category with alleged 1 in100 chance to bounce. Second shot: hit, bounce. Ok, now we are in a 0,01% category. With 1 in 10 000 chance for that happening, so almost 2 times per my account (which certainly isnt the case, as such nonsense happens to me every single day at least once). Third shot: hit, bounce. Now we are on a purely theoretical field with a 1 in 1 000 000 chance of that happening. So, theoretically, I should be able to fire about a million times, while encountering this situation only once. But I´ve already seen something like this MANY times. At least once a day. And something tells me that I do not fire 1 000 000 times a day. So, the Wargaming numbers are completely made up nonsense, and the percentages they give are pulled straight out of their a*s. Edit: I also fired from a slightly lower position, so these numbers should be 100% chance to pen, 100% chance to pen and 100% chance to pen. Yet it was bounce, bounce, and bounce.

This video is pretty bad, a lot worse compare to old tutorials kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJOtd6mgjsafZtk and kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaGUmqSwjK5nhpI. The video doesn't really talk about aiming, and most of the aiming examples in the video are very bad, not leading the shots, aiming at auto-ricochet up/lower glacis not the driving wheels.

They do these guides to help new players but they forget the experience of playing low tiers is terrible, aside from very few exceptions every tank below tier 7 is terrible to play. That and the stock modules grind is the main reason new players drop out.
