43:43 Vital spirit/Rash is what they got. Inner focus and Naughty are the other choices they could have had. Kirran and his button mashing are going to get them in trouble one of these days. The way he keeps mashing buttons to go through menus and such, he could probably SAVE time by going slower and looking at what he's doing.

I actually had no idea that you could just beat up one of the rocket grunts and get into Saffron early in this game, rather than finishing the pokemon tower, getting the flute wake up Snorlax, and going to Fuchsia first. Also, the purpose of the "unfuse on fainting" rule is to make the run more fun. If unfusing a 'mon right now would make the run less fun, then absolutely call a mulligan on it. Besides, it's way more interesting to lose a beloved fusion during a gym or other boss fight and then change up the team to prepare for the next one, rather than already having a team you like, being in the middle of leveling them up, and then having to start over.

I've always thought from the start defusing should follow the rule of funny. I feel you both have enough hype around seeing new fusions when you find mates in the wild that we'll always keep seeing new ones cause you'll be excited to see what the sprites will be yourself. If they faint in a "heroic" battle and it feels like that's a good place to end (insert pokémon here) story then defuse other than that I'm fine with seeing them faint and healed back up until it gets to the point they feel stale too Kiran. Like Honroark being x4 weak and suffering a slow speed trait but still hitting like a truck I'm happy to see him faint and come back more determined each fight like a souls game player wiping the blood off their mouths, giving a smirk and eventually winning after saying "that all you got"! Edit: yeah OK Douroark is F-ing gorgeous what an ending to an episode! 🔥

After beating Team Rocket at Silph use the train station at the top left of Saffron’s map to go to Johto. If you go to the pokecenter in Goldenrod you can make a trade there that Kirran will lose his mind for.

I feel like I should warn you: last time I checked, Aegislash is borked and will stay stuck on shield mode when fused, even when it says it changes to sword mode. Also, it'll lose No Guard. 51:38 in this game, fusions of the same pokemon also get boosted exp

Sometimes I like to start the episode then pretend I'm in the dial up days and I have to let it buffer. So I put it down, take a nap, watch 10 minutes. Then pretend someone used the phone disconnecting me from the internet. Then start the process again. I get a lot of sleep this way

I haven’t been into a mainline title since like gen 4, that’s where they lost me and it’s only gone downhill since with the graphical shifts and things they’ve done. That said, I would definitely be into this if it was an actual title that came out.

I do a randomizer of this with random items and did find 2 virusballs....it would give whatever was caught pokerus....sadly it has a low catch rate so it's pretty hard to catch anything

I love the continued "it's Gloom and Umbreon" after it used Fire Spin. Hell, I had to rewind to see what happened. I was thinking "what other Eeveelutions have '...r-eon' for their names? Uhh, Vaporeon, but it's not slim enough for that or Umbreon..." Then I actually noticed the animation and attack name. And only after like a full second of processing did I go "oh yeah! Flareon! That one exists!" It kinda speaks to just how mid Flareon is.

I looked up the alternative fusion for Zoroark + Doublade and was disappointed. The stats are much better but the sprite is so much worse. Although when you consider the typing difference, perhaps not...?
