hey sloth, big fan of your decks, hillarious video as usual. have you consider adding blue to copy the doubling season with the blue season, 3 steps ahead or with replication? maybe too clunky, maybe so silly it works hehe. looking forward for more crazy brews

Yeah, I think it might be a bit clunky, usually doubling season is already as much risky cool plays as we can add - but mostly I try to avoid going 3 colour, unless there's some huge crucial upside, or mana base is smoothed in some way (like fabled passage/green overlords etc.). I like the idea, I might think out if it can be done in some way - but that was the reasoning, trying to keep those decks as slick as they can as meta is quick:)

Karn and doubling season would be a nice synergy in a crawling barrens deck, be a nice sink for the green overlord too. although there 's a bit of anti-synergy with the impending counters, the anywhere tokens are still tokens.

Hey homeboy at 9 minutes did you really have to spend the two mana and the fountain port to SAC your token to draw a card when you draw a card anyways when you minus four Lily right?

Calendar is pretty bad I must say, without any mechanism helping it is like 10 rounds (2^10=1024), so really slow. And Doubling season is actually not doubling the doubling, its adding 2x more counters, which is not the same. You had 23, if it doubled and then doubled it would be 92, but its 69 instead, so 23+2*23. So its even worse than I thought initially.

Yeah exactly, this was my main fear before testing the idea, but I decided if card ever worked, this is how. But yeah, it's just painfully slow, unfortunately. Probably best against slower midrange decks that are defensive, but even then they often kill faster than this. So yeah, it's basically tripling counters with Doubling Season, and difference is pretty big unfortunately :)
