Do this golf tip for 1 minute to get the best golf ball striking of your life. It doesn’t get any easier or better than this. This really simple golf tip is the key to an easy golf swing that hits the ball high, far, and straight. I created this super easy drill to help you feel a powerful and consistent golf swing that gets you to feel buttery, crispy contact on the club face.
There’s too many golf swing benefits to list here. This drill fixes almost every golf swing problem you can think of, and it works for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Just the other day a 75 year old golfer did this in a golf lesson and immediately experienced hitting the ball 20 yards farther and much straighter while swinging the golf club nice and easy. So this is also a key to having an easy, body-friendly golf swing.
By doing this simple golf tip and feel for just 1 minute a day, you are going to see huge benefits to your golf swing and ball striking.

I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

I have watched countless of Toms videos. A golf swing, in my opinion, is built on layers. This video summed it all up for me. I am a student of golf with a 12 heck. I really pay attention to Tom. I’m 70 young years old. Today, I reached a 486 yard par five in two…….two feet over the green. Today, I added 15 yards to my nine iron, hit consistently 235yrd drives and added ten yards to my wedges. Thank you, Tom. This was the best video you’ve ever made for my game.

Hey Tom, beginner golfer here. I had the worst range sessions of my life this week before playing today. Chunking everything and had ZERO confidence. Woke up this morning feeling super anxious and came across this video. Practiced the hand clasp drill in the mirror and it translated perfectly to the course today. Played the best round of golf in my life and now I’m addicted. Was even hitting most of the fairways on my drives. You are the best KZbin golf instructor, thank you for not over complicating this game!

Unfortunately, such sorcery from this dark underworld of golf instruction rarely finds its way to the mainstream because if too many folks found out about it the mainstream would then be rendered irrelevant....... 😎 Seriously, how interesting and sad it is that with all the advances in equipment, technology, golf course grooming, etc. the average golfer still struggles to break 100. Epic failures within the realm of “conventional” instruction, perhaps??? So many misconstrued and/or misguided teachings - such as turning the shoulders level while independently lifting the club, shifting into and torquing against a firm trail side, actively rolling the hands through impact, etc. - have relegated generations of golfers to the vast abyss of inconsistency and chronic frustration (and chronic back/knee/hip pain as well). We're doing our best here to clear these up one by one and put an end to this madness! If you don't mind spending just a little more $ on a no-BS comprehensive, structured, sequential platform for learning this swing system, then please consider joining my online school. That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish. Additionally, you'll find all my short game content (putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play), advanced level courses on shot shaping and power/distance, diagnostic and corrective tools for resolving common swing, contact, and ball flight issues, and much more there. OUTSTANDING!! I'm very glad to know that this lesson connected the dots for you; excellent job incorporating it into your swing. By the way, the crux of your message is precisely why I do my best to convey multiple “feels” or thoughts throughout the swing wherever possible. We're all different physiologically and psychologically, and something that resonates effectively with one golfer may not necessarily work for another. As such, it is important to understand that the lessons on this channel - while fully aligned with the swing method I teach - address a variety of topics, issues, feels, and/or common flaws/fixes from one episode to the next. They are certainly not intended to be taken as a comprehensive, step-by-step, position-by-position learning platform like the structured curriculum of my online school - saguto.golf - which I strongly recommend to anyone who truly wishes to get on the proper path towards owning this swing as it will make for a far more efficient and enjoyable learning process rather than haphazardly trying to piece things together through my KZbin content. The lessons and drills provide the guidelines and set the boundaries, while allowing ample leeway for each individual golfer to infuse and exercise their own uniqueness. Thanks so much for sharing your resulting dramatic ball striking improvement and keep up the great work!! 💪💪 Tom

Welcome aboard, @Françoise Deraison - I'm very glad to have you in the school, and I appreciate your kind words!! Here is some preliminary advice to help you get off to a good start on your journey to the Land of Ball Striking Bliss: 1) Regardless of a member's skill level, this swing necessitates a complete reboot for someone transitioning from a shift & lift swing (which is typically the case), and therefore it is imperative that one take sufficient time to ensure that the fundamental components are mastered. From the ground up there is nothing superfluous in the Stack & Tilt swing - in other words, everything with a purpose, and a purpose for everything. (For example, contrary to shift & lift where you may be taught to keep your trail foot perpendicular to the target line as a means of "creating resistance" in your trail side, in S&T we flare both feet out 10-20 degrees in order to facilitate a free flowing, inclined hip and shoulder turn.) I cannot emphasize this enough, as frustrations predominantly occur when students jump ahead in the curriculum without properly dedicating themselves to the foundational base upon which our consistently repeatable, powerful, low maintenance swing must be built. Chapter 1 of the Golf Swing Simplified program (GSS) and Part I of Get Out & Go Play (GOGP) both address this. 2a) GSS: One of the many great things about this swing is that you can achieve solid ball striking even at the most basic levels. This is why I oftentimes will suggest that students park themselves on Chapter 2 of the GSS course for an extended period of time after locking down Chapter 1's foundational elements. Chapter 2 reinforces the body motions and the weight-forward component, and it culminates with what I call "The Best Golf Swing Practice Drill of All Time". Work yourself sequentially and gradually through the chapter, and then commit yourself to that drill in Lesson 2.8. Learn it. Practice it. Master it. You can even use this partially abbreviated swing on the course and play quite well with it as it will provide plenty of distance. (It actually is the full swing minus just a couple of power accumulators.) Once you've got that down, you will be well prepared to move forward in the curriculum and well on your way towards taking ownership of YOUR swing! 2b) GOGP: This quick-start program is exactly as it sounds - it is designed to fast-track you out onto the course so you can have fun - and success - playing as you learn! Should you choose this path, everything in #1 above still applies, and as implied above in 2a you will still want to work through it sequentially and gradually, mastering each lesson before moving ahead to the next one. In this program, Drill #5 - The Flying Wedge is the one you'll want to park yourself on and nail down. 3) Also, as you progress always keep in mind the V1 Swing Video Analysis service, an effective and inexpensive service that I highly recommend to everyone in the school. I liken it to bringing your swing into the shop for a tune-up or minor repair. Scheduling one on a quarterly basis for preventive maintenance will do wonders for keeping things humming along nicely, and it's also a great tool for pinpointing and resolving any issues that arise. The process involves downloading the free V1 app and then submitting two videos to me through the app - one down-the-line (captured from your stance line, not the target line) and the other face-on. You'll find more information about the V1 Analysis halfway down this page on the Saguto.Golf site: saguto.golf/p/sagutogolf 4) Finally, please migrate over to the SagutoGolf Community Forum - which is included in your online school membership - and begin engaging with your fellow members. It only takes a minute or two to enroll - just go to your “My Courses” screen and you’ll see a link to get started. Once signed in you’ll be able to access and participate in the great dialogue that we are having on a variety of topics. You can start discussions, contribute to existing threads, post specific swing questions, make some new friends, and just share in the common bond of golfers from around the world seeking to improve their games and help others to do the same. I monitor the forum regularly and participate in the discussions, including assisting with swing-related inquiries. I really think you’ll enjoy it! I look forward to hearing from you regularly in the Forum and to assisting you in building a consistent, low maintenance, powerful, body-friendly swing that will bring your enjoyment of this great game to a new level! @@SagutoGolf great video, also like the one you had with the legs bowed like riding a horse legs work better in the back swing. Went back to my old ways last year, stupid on my part, I don't know what makes golfers always go on a quest to find a golf swing when they find one that works like yours. Maybe you can write a book golf swing for idiots and when I show you don't change it 🤔 lol, anyway I changed my swing mid season last year not good, so winter came and you know the rest so today I went out to a soccer field and hit a 7 iron after watching some of your videos. Hit the ball solid high baby draw, and that's not using your system for a year, duh 🙄 so I'd like to sign up for your online course for a year. I sign up once during covid, I think for 10$ a month I would like to do it for the year if you can let me know we're to go it would be appreciated, last time I tried it said I see your already signed up but I know I'm not thanks sincerely Mike Taylor

Hi Tom . This is Dave from the uk . After 8 years of frustrating golf found you on u tube and now playing the best golf ever . One question I have is golf pressure and squaring up the golf club . Brilliant 👍👍👍
@SagutoGolf
@SagutoGolf Жыл бұрын
Hi Dave, I'm very glad to know that my instruction is resonating well with you, and I appreciate you sharing your improvement! Grip pressure is something that is very unique to each of us, which is why conveying personal "feels" in this regard have led so many golfers astray. For example, a 2 out of 10 “baby bird” grip to a strong guy like Sam Snead may equate to an 8 out of 10 to another golfer. We definitely don't want that handle swimming around in our hands because we're so loosey goosey that we can't control the clubface. A secure grip and soft arms are what we're after here. That prescription will certainly resonate differently for different folks, but the key is that our grip pressure should give us complete control of the club while not introducing swing-killing tension that prevents us from properly executing the motion and/or robs us of speed potential. Finding that sweet spot is a highly individual thing, and it is critical to consistently blissful ballstriking. Thanks for your comment and keep up the great work!! Tom PS: By the way, since my channel's content is performing well for you, I am quite certain you will really enjoy and benefit from the comprehensive, structured, step-by-step learning platform in my online school. Well done, Brian! I'm glad this lesson resonated well with you. We all have a tendency to forget important swing keys when we get into a groove, and then we suddenly loose that groove and end up racking our brain and making a mess of things trying to recapture it. It's a good idea to have a fallback plan so we can hit the reset button before all that happens. Sounds like for you it may be a good idea to bookmark this episode so you can revisit the lesson as needed when future challenges present themselves. Keep it crispy!! TS

I appreciate knowing that, John!! The way I see it, we can either simply put the already existing natural laws to work for us, or we can twist, morph, torque, contrive, and otherwise mess with the principles of physics and geometry in an effort to better suit some ill-conceived whims, all the while recognizing that at the point of impact those pre-existing laws are going to be the only things that matter to the ball! Thanks for sharing your improvement and keep up the great work!! Best lesson I have ever seen and I have had a lot of them. Wish I knew this 30 years ago would have saved me a lot of struggling with golf? I am now trying to stop firing my hips and instead bring my arms down to start the downswing. Feels strange but results are good. Thanks for posting this lesson.

How interesting and sad it is, Alan, that with all the advances in equipment, technology, golf course grooming, etc. the average golfer still struggles to break 100. Epic failures within the realm of “conventional” instruction, perhaps??? So many misconstrued and/or misguided teachings - such as taking the club straight back, turning the shoulders level while independently lifting the arms, shifting into and torquing against a firm trail side, actively rolling the hands through impact, etc. - have relegated generations of golfers to the vast abyss of inconsistency and chronic frustration (and chronic back/knee/hip pain as well). I’m doing my best here to clear these up one by one and put an end to this madness…. Thanks for your comment - I'm very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you! I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson, Matthew! It should translate fine to your driver as it’s essentially the same swing with every club; just some minor setup differences and naturally occurring shaft plane changes as we graduate up in club length from short irons to woods. If you type the word "drive" into my channel's search bar you will find some specific content in this regard. By the way, if you'd really like to own this swing through your entire bag please consider enrolling in the SagutoGolf online school as it is one of the best golf instruction values out there. For just $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only learning system for the full swing and much more. The school's intuitive course curriculum greatly simplifies the entire process through succinct, step-by-step videos, and I'm regularly adding new content. Every lesson I have seen has changed my game for the much better. I really like his training program I'm in now. I am right at one month taking Tom's online program and everything I've learned has made me better and at a fairly predictable pace depending on how much you play and some other factors that each person has. I have never taken any learning program that every detail is laid out for you. All the research is done for you. His training program covers everything and you build your new swing as you go in the program. When I go play now, I'm not thinking a million thoughts. I have fun and have confidence now. Priceless to me. I was wondering if Tom was a comedian to? I rarely watch a video that I don't bust out laughing. I love it.

@@SagutoGolf Thank you very much. It takes practice since it is new to me. I struggled some with getting the correct weight forward and keeping it there during the swing. At first I was a little to much. With practice I now have been able to determine the best spot. I started out with 100 percent of my weight forward and gradually lessened it until I got to where I was striking in the same place and the correct position every time. Also the set up you taught has made staying attached pretty much automatic when I keep my arms close together, hands at thigh and tucking the magic elbow in. Tucking the elbow in at address and keeping it attached has resulted in crispy straight bullets. LOL. If your not working on something specific it's hard to have a productive driving range visit. With your training my practices are now productive, fun and exciting, instead of I hope I'm doing this correct. Uncertainty of what you should be doing in the swing when playing or practicing is wrong and you feel it every swing. Thanks to Tom's program, I don't wonder if I'm doing something wrong or right. After every shot I know what I did right and what I did wrong. There's my next practice session is on what I did wrong and Tom has provided the fixes as well.

Tom. Great explanation of how the shoulders and hips work. I always felt I was stuck and now I know why I was moving my hips too soon. Others probably have attempted however your explanation really changed how I think about the swing and can see how you can generate a lot of power instead of over swinging and not compressing the ball Thanks Mike Wisconsin

Good instruction Tom! I have always utilized starting my swing by turning my left shoulder. Due to the lack of playing due to life changes my mistake lately has been swaying backwards and not covering the ball by keeping my shoulder turn inside the circle. Thanks for the help with this and please keep sharing your great content. The one thing that I don’t remember you speaking about was that your weight stays on your front foot (left) like you speak about on your other videos.
