I mentioned similar in Raudman's video comments..My take or question is this... Even though it's still a small sample size, are we seeing some indications as to why the traditional national touring drivers, 49, 5, 15 are looking stronger this year. Many of the two series depth drivers who weren't a part of an elite national touring series in the past, while re very good drivers and saw success on the AAA circuit and could pick up the odd national series win, they and we are realizing that the gap from the top touring guys to the next tier is even larger than we first thought. At the time of the split and subsequent signings, the analysis was all about who got the best and who got the depth. Time will ultimately tell but as it sits, look at the wins in both series. "Outlaw" guys are winning. Then look at Lincoln and the PA comments. Ya, guys are running well locally and making a name, though with the depth on tour, those stats will look inflated as well in comparison to previous years. It's a good scenario as HL wanted, more guys are winning and more money is being paid out to guys who might not normally benefit. But I think it's apparent, the drop from the top tier to the next tier is larger than first thought. Add in the grind etc... Touring will humble some.

Gravel is one of the best drivers in the country. And yes he is trying to chase that championship. He came into this week pissed off cuz the flat tire last week and I don't blame him. Wasn't a good time for that to happen. But yeah good run.that 2 was fast.

I think this is playing out exactly how WRG didn't want. It's very much starting to look like Gravel and then everyone else not even close. Those HL guys missing and other competitive guys racing less with WoO allow the rest of the WoO drivers to more easily finish in the top 5. The days of there being several competitive regional racers may very well be ending.
@mhurley7826 ай бұрын
WoO is getting predictable.
@scottrossingnol60346 ай бұрын
@@mhurley782, I think that's why there's a definitive buzz around races when HL guys show up. It's less likely to be Gravel and then the others filling out the top 5. Of course,in those races without HL and then the other contract drivers finishing top 5, it will keep the points a bit closer. That's their only saving grace.

Gravel now has a full race lead and it’s barely May. The only drama left is whether or not he wins 20.
@iTakerrr6 ай бұрын
Outlaw fans might not like this comment but you're 100% right. Gravel I think will run away with it this year even moreso than he already has, and even with Sweet winning 3 races with High Limit this year, every race "feels" fresh which is a big deal. Sweet only has an 8 point lead on Courtney and a 61 point lead over Marks who hasn't even won a race yet. I actually think you summed the current situation up nicely in just a few sentences. Lincoln doesnt have much to offer the Outlaws anymore but Port did, and we know how that deal went with WRG being babies about it.

maybe McCreadie is over the hill or just cant adjust to the Rocket. but he barely looks any better than he did last year, so maybe it's the driver. he cant run like those guys that are winning. they drive over the ragged edge of the limits of the car. Tim has never run like that.

Are you saying he can’t drive given that he has won 3 national titles or the rocket house car is not good given that Hudson won the Lucas championship last year and the world 100
@RedroomStudios6 ай бұрын
unfortunately it looks like Tim is over the hill now and has never been the guy to drive the wheels off it, which is what it takes to win these days.

TMac’s best days are behind him. Will he still be competitive? Yes, but not like years past and I can’t see him winning anymore championships in any car on either tour. Lots of younger guys with good teams making this class extremely competitive. Not bashing, just my opinion.

Double D needs to improve on his time-ins. He probably could have finished higher with a better qualifying time. I always pull for Danny.

It was a standard Lincoln race. It isnt a huge accomplishment for gravel to win. Outside of the top 10 there was basically no passing, there never is at lincoln. It really isnt worthy of a national race anymore. If you are lucky on a weekly show you might see a good feature with some side by side racing. Until the feature you NEVER will. you start and finish in the same place and the heat line ups are dictated by luck of the draw for time trials.

Not a posse fan, at all, but Dietrich did go +15 finishing 9th. Other than that, not a lot of passing. I'm not a fan of the PA 1/2 mile tracks, to spread out, prefer 1/4 and 3/8 tracks

@natasmai596 ай бұрын
Let's be clear. Danny didnt pass inside the top 10. He was out of position starting in 24th, certainly. Even still, of the +15 positions in the race, 7 were crashes that people dropped out, he didnt need to pass them. Mostly, in the top 10, the only +positions were from one or two drivers fading hard (or Kody Hartlaub getting junked).
