If a developer can create an EA that almost catch a holygrail, they will use it themself instead of selling it.

theoretically yes. but on the other hand there is no such thing as the holy grail ;)

Damn that's a scam he basically makes 41k and take out 5k to fund the ea over and over. People are foolish to buy this crap

I would not call it a scam but it is definitely a bit fishy. People just need to stop buying EAs that they do not understand from people that they do not know...

@theBoy_69_4 ай бұрын

Yes, you can have a winning streak with such a robot but the equity will be killed sooner or later. People get scammed by just looking at the balance curve and not the equity one. Unless the robot has good risk management, ignore and move on. To have a risk in % there must be a stoploss somewhere.

I would not say it is a scam. Marketing is a bit fishy for sure but people should start to take responsibility for their own "investments". I do not get why so many people buy EAs they do not understand from people they do not know..

High Risk EAs could be split into various Accounts with low Risk of Equity. If you think this Way, then "high risk eas" can be really useful.

Hey Rene, I really like your content, but one critical question: Learning MQL will probably not help me if I dont have the "right" trading idea which I can transform into code... (this describes my problem... lol)

no worries you can just try out different strategies once you learned how to code

My views: 1) Any so-called set-and-forget EA that creates above 1 to 2% monthly will eventually blow, whether you use SL, Equity protection, or DCA. Markets shift, and even asset behavior changes over time. 2) Algo traders need to know that this industry is full of misinformation and scams. Hence, research is essential before you decide to invest in any trading tool 3) If a trader decides to buy an off-the-shelf EA, they need to know how these EAs work, their entry criteria, risk management, and other money management capabilities. Don't buy black box EAs, PLEASE!!!!!!! 4) For newbie algo traders, instead of investing in an algo worth 1,299 USD, I recommend educating yourself first, whether you learn how to code your own algo OR properly assess EAs or any trading tool.

Nice vid, The EA requires you to DCA the algo, add more deposits as the equity goes down. Not good at all .

Hello. I have a question. I've seen a few EA videos. Here they generally make a strategy using Stop Loss. But what I don't understand is how they can enter the transaction price and stop loss price as the same price when entering a buy stop or sell stop. When the transaction is opened, all types of prices appear the same. Could you please give your opinion on this as an expert?
@theBoy_69_4 ай бұрын
hello: first: rene is no expert, he just uses his brain. second: this isnt possible, your broker will not accept such buy or sell stop orders because they make no sense. Only thing it is possible that after the price moves in your direction to set the SL to the entry price.
let me answer this as an expert (thanks for the kind words): it is indeed not possible (or does not make sense). mostly because of the spread or how bid and ask prices work. usually there is a gap between the ask (buying) and bid (selling) price. the ask price is always higher (or equal in the best case). so if you open a buy position (or place an order) at some level it will become executed at the ask price. if your stop loss order for this position is then set at the same level it would become executed immediately because the bid price (sell price) is below (or the same level in the best case) the current ask price. therefore your broker will usually now allow this. and this is good for you because otherwise you would just open and close the position at the same level and all you do is pay the trading costs.

Using your own strategy has the exact same risk of not working well after a few months just like any EA on the market. So why waste time (which is money) and not buy and stop using when it stops being profitable (and hopefully you made some profit in a few months)
