It’s actually quite possible that this is a vfx glitch that happens to look like it was intentional, judging by how unnaturally fast it moves Regardless, a really cool and useful find!

I wouldn't think so. An effect like that takes resources to make. Usually when an entity is transported it would be teleported somewhere from out of bounds instantly. The blue streak effect wouldnt draw a line like that from a teleport, as the effect is usually tied to the entity. Whatever that line was is more than likely intended. Either way, very handy trick😂

@@northwind115 Most vfx produce temporary “entities” in its place that last for a second before disappearing. This creates a “trail” effect when the effect moves, especially if it is quickly. It’s possible that this is what’s happening, but we may never know for sure

This kind of stuff is the reason why I love black ops 4 so much. IT'S BEEN 4 FREAKIN YEARS, AND WE'RE STILL FINDING NEW EASTER EGGS IN THE MAPS!! Truly incredible how much heart and soul was poured into the map in these games.

Blood of the Dead is really aging to be one of the most fleshed out maps we've ever had in Zombies, I already loved this easter egg but with something like this as well as the other tricks and discoveries on this map it's gotta be one of my favourites. I hope we can get this level of detail into a map in the next Treyarch instalment.

Personally this is one of my favorite Easter eggs and I never understood why people hated it’s difficulty, the two most hated steps were the bird step and the Morse code step, both of which have been properly figured out recently and have become the easiest steps on the map, just shows people were hating on a game mechanic that they didn’t understand 🙃

Dawg, it took 3.5 years for people to solve this. It was(and still is, but the worst of it is gone) a super tedious Easter Egg topped off with a mediocre boss fight. At least the cutscenes were top-tier.

this map definitely still has it's annoyances for me, mainly just how much you're running back and forth blasting something with your shield. the easter egg is long but for most of it i don't really feel like i'm doing anything, or what i am doing is boring stuff like simon says or inputting morse code in a corner. i can see why people who aren't bothered by these things like it, but it's never been an easter egg i've enjoyed because most of the steps don't engage the player much. it's just a lot of relaying information without really doing any solving or puzzle-work yourself, or even any threat of the zombies getting in your way. i always dread playing this map not because i find it difficult or complicated, but because it just isn't enjoyable for me. i do enjoy the prisoner escort though since zombies are constantly flooding the player while you're being forced down tight corridors, keeps you engaged.

this is pretty neat and will definitely make blood's ee more bearable, but it looks to be unintentional rather than a deliberate thing put in by the devs. the way that it basically pops in and out so quickly looks unnatural, less like an intentional trail effect meant to show the player where the bird is going, and more like they put the bird model there when it's being unused and make it visible before teleporting it, resulting in one of the existing trail effects drawing a line from its placeholder location to the new one. i think if it was intentional the duration of the trail would definitely be longer so it has a more natural fade-in and fade-out, as well as making it easier for people to spot.

I loved BotD. I left a potential unsolved EE on Glitching Queen's videos like 2 years ago, and I might as well leave it here as well. The Simon Says step; the first half of it, down at the docks. After you complete all the sequences with the generators there are always three generators that light up that give you your symbols. But there's always a fourth generator that flashes right before they all turn off. Always. It always happens and it's never the same one. I've done it like 30 times with randoms and I always ended up doing Simon Says so believe me when I say it's always there. Hopefully something comes of this at some point

I just recently helped a friend complete this easter egg just 4 days ago, we spend so long on that step. I really wish that this was discovered just a few days earlier. And I don't really know if anyone else knew this but apparently the invisible bird can spawn on the laundry machine. Me and my friend didn't know that so it kinda came as a surprise finding it on there. I feel like I should say best of luck to anyone who decides to do this ee after finding out about this trick/step.

This is amazing, but if you know anything about game design, or even if you’ve just messed around with noclip for any length of time and seen how assets get stored outside of the map when they’re not in use in order to keep them in memory, this is obviously unintentional. Bloody brilliant find nonetheless! Well done NTC. Hopefully people will give BO4 and BOTD less sh!t for its EE now.

I personally think this is very much intentionally put in the game. If u think it's just a graphics bug wouldn't there be streaks for every other unloaded asset in other maps like for instance the bull heads u shoot on ix but they don't have any streak across the map when they spawn in?🤔

I think thats a thing treyarch forgot to fix. I believe thats a visual glitch. The bird would spawn at the ocean and like a millisecond later would be moved to whatever location it needs to be. The bird moves so quick that its particle effects create a “line” like the video suggests. Pretty good find though since I hated that step.

the way I see it is as each black ops game comes out, besides CW, the Easter eggs got harder and more complicated, which by no means is a bad thing, think bo3 hit it perfectly for everyone to do, whereas bo4 was really, IMO, a true veteran zombies player game. I love that even blood of the dead is getting recognition it deserves, even though it’s years late. Bo4 is just nearly the top of how complicated and advanced zombies can be.
