Unfortunately our pre production bike came with the Maxxis before we knew about any spec changes.

@@bikesonline awesome. So it’s the same but with an updated motor? Cool. Wonder if the price has changed? Also is it a different colour? Looks slightly more brown.
@RidesWithJake Жыл бұрын
I bought the 2022 at such an unbelievable price! The 2023 has barely changed, it’s super fun! Heavy at first, but you’ll quickly get used to it.
@brokenlegz Жыл бұрын
@@RidesWithJake sweet! Haven’t had any problems? At 5’11 I’m half way Between medium and large. Probably go medium as that’s still longer reach than my trek remedy.
@RidesWithJake Жыл бұрын
@@brokenlegz it’s been awesome, apart from the chain ring which came loose after 1 ride, easy fix but disastrous if I didn’t notice it. A friend who got a Trek Rail Large tested it and the reach felt the same (mine’s size small) and his Trek’s reach felt the same for me too.

Is the the travel frame specific or can you run a 170-180 front ?
@bikesonline Жыл бұрын
The rear travel is maxed out from factory at 150mm. For the front, we wouldn't recommend going any more than 10mm from the stock 160mm. With how slack the head angle is, I really never felt the need for more travel
@ajsmith3006 Жыл бұрын
I’ve got a alpine trail 7 2022 and I bumped the yari up to 170mm. Added a little more beginning stroke to the shock. Wouldn’t go any higher than 10mm personally

Is the motor worth it or should we go for the ep8?
@bikesonline4 ай бұрын
The EP6 has identical performance to the EP8. The EP6 just comes in a heavier case and doesn't have as fancy of a display unit!

Same frame. The E2 has higher end spec and an EP8 motor, and 630wh battery

What size do you think for a 5’11” rider? Im stuck between picking a med or large
@bikesonline Жыл бұрын
I would lean more toward the large but a medium with a 50mm stem would be ideal if you want something a bit more playful.
@OktaFierce Жыл бұрын
Also depends on your wingspan but these are a super long and front heavy bike so if you like to manual and pop ide go for the med.
@domanater480 Жыл бұрын
I went large on the e1 at 5'10. Deffiently comfy and feels good size and can plow. It's sometimes hard to weight the front end though as it's so slack. I'd go med if you want more playful and more control over the bike.

E-assist will cut off at 20mph in the US.
@tenrohle Жыл бұрын
Have never ridden one of these so excuse this possibly quite obvious question. Are bikes like these 'pedal assist' rather than purely electric powered, controlled by a throttle etc? I'm struggling to find anyone that explains the difference in the ebike settings.
@bikesonline Жыл бұрын
Correct they are pedal assist, so no throttle. Check out this vid :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5e3aaqArteqf68

Not well spec'd at all , small battery , X Fusion suspension is budget components and EP6 again low end motor. Should check out Cannondale Moterra Neo 3 for the same money which is rockin Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 750Wh battery , RockShox Yari RC, 150mm up front and RockShox Deluxe Select DebonAir on the rear.

The Cannondale is a great bike but I think the price is a fair bit off. In Australia the Marin retails for $4000 less than the Cannondale
