0:15 This isn't "my" Gate Guardian deck as I swiped it from my opponent. I do run the Souls package along with Prisma in my own But I'm also seeing some interesting suggestions so I might revisit this deck again in the future 👀

Had to look up the name because I remember it as the Highlander Event. It was Limit One Festival and happened near the start of last year. My only problem with Theme Chronicle is that, as you pointed out, it's meant to promote solo mode decks, yet you can run decks not used in solo mode.

1:13 for me it got To be the N/R event. And the 30 second timer event too. And I also did enjoy the XYZ event just cause I could run Galaxy Eyez

N/R Festival was the best and most fun, lot of decks you can just make and try out. Their was a clear strongest though but that's just a given. Loved being able to play Evil HERO/Classic E.HERO in that format.

Tbh my favourite event so far is the rituals one specially cause of the hungry burger arctype was surprisingly really good 😂

Obviously too late now but I was rocking a 60-70% win rate with a budget Invoked Gate Guardian deck (I'm talking only two Aleisters and missing Thunder and Wind budget). Aleister alone is a nearly 1 card out to Avramax via Mechaba (just need another monster in hand), Invoked Raidjin can be made with Kazejin or Droll for a reusable Book of Moon, you can turn Labyrinth Tank or Shadow Ghoul into Caliga to floodgate and destroyed Gate Guardian fusions both float and can be used for Augoeides. Far from optimised but worked really damn well. Had a great time with this event.

my fav event i think was the n/r rarity event. it was alot of fun and you could pretty play with any deck you could imgine. and it made you relay on less powerful cards which i think made for some more interesting back and forth duels.

I used springans to play the crap out of it, its definitely my favorite event so far. I thinks it an example of lower powered metas being much more fair- hand traps aren't as important despite being good, and every meta deck only required a bit of interruption but could still play a little afterwards, and lower power decks could just run some more interruption to even the odds with minimal deck space

Favorite even is either theme chronicle or N/R festival. The second one is especially nice since all the decks are very affordable and hardly put a dent in my gems

If you bring Riryouku Guardian, this deck is better for go 2nd OTK but you also need some "LP difference" cards like Upstart Goblin, Cosmic Cyclone, Soul Taker, etc. to fulfil Riryouku Guardian requirement. This is my favorit variant. . If you go 1st, you can bring the 3 destroy Quick spell (the namd is Wind and Thunder, maybe) . Magicians' Soul is good tech in any variant. Because you can use this to send Kazejin to GY, and use your Sanga and friends in back row as free cost for draw. Or you can send Gate Guardian spell/Trap with it to search monsters.

You need at least 2 copies of the Jai Guro trap card bro. That card is essential for the deck. Destroy any monster in its column, plus it searches a gate guardian card when it's in the graveyard Pseudo-space is also great for the deck, as the field spell isn't once per turn. Another optional card that can save brick hands is Kashtira birth (legal in the event). If your hand sucks, at least you can normal summon a Suijin/Kazejin/Sanga, but 3 copies of each is more optimal for this option.

The highlander event introduced me to highlander. Whilst it’s not as fun as playing a deck I’ve put a lot of thought into. It was most definitely the most fun event I’ve played in MD.

For my GG first turn. It depends. If I have the field spell. Then I go for the 0Atk monster maker so their scary card disappears right as their battlephase starts. If I don’t have the field spell, I go for the spell and trap negate. And I know what you’re thinking. Why summon one of those instead of combined? With the mixture of Prisma and D.D.R. You can usually get combined +1 other GG fusion on the field. It just requires you to not brick. Edit- fixing auto correct errors.

Synchro/XYZ event tbh. Even though Junk Speeder was banned being able to synchro combo into Shooting Majestic Star dragon and a couple of others was insanely satisfying and also of course Heroics and Sharks was awesome to play. It's either that event or Legend Anthology because of Abyss Actors Also I think you're supposed to go for water and wind over combined because it negates spells.

Also yeah Gold Pride has zero negates. That's been a trend lately where a lot of the newer decks have been lacking in negates.

​@@VantaJayYeah in the TCG they were rogue tier and that's only when combined with P.U.N.K which.....also doesn't make negates outside of a card that's basically Imperm. SHS though will probably be nerfed unlike Gold Pride tbf so it'll at least stay relevant. SHS is super funny though I made a version with Karakuri which draws me 8 cards for fun. It's not optimal but it's hilarious

I just started with Master Duel, so I guess Theme Chronicle is my favorite by default lol. Agree that there could have been more emphasis on the solo mode decks. That said, I'm making a Vendread deck now, so the propaganda worked on at least one person haha.

Riryoku guardian half's their life points and gives that half to a gate guardian it's a insta win if used correctly.

Jirai Gumo trap can be banished from grave for a piece of Guardian. Its too bad reasoning is banned in event. Alot of guardian spells and traps have gy effects. Also the event allows Kashtira Birth. So its free summoning of the other pieces

Magician soul variant way better should reason being you can use the gate guardian pieces in back row for extra draw and then floating into different pieces of gate guardian you can just search any gate magic trap you need place jumo in link columns run kash rebirth as well i easily got all of the gems from the event running gate guardian i also used cross sheep in my extra deck and a few other synchro level 10 and 12 just because ash plus 7 level 10 and gate guardian combined with ash level 12 to get some monsters that have more built in protection

U should try out Gate guardian Kuriboh combo Stupid funny using Kuriboh and multiplay then law of the order with gate guardian Nuke the hand and field :P plus get a link 3 + monster out and a gate guardian ^^
