It is honestly great to see just the Arsenal EVOs. I love following the series when you are using them. I have a full Albanian EVO team and I love playing with the team. It feels like it brings such a large reason to keep playing. I use them in all my champs, rivals, friendlies, etc. Even if it is far behind the power curb, the connection to the team and players makes me want to keep using them.

Hi Nep (ignore my name it’s actually Joe lol), Been a big fan (admittedly on and off) for 10+ years, the chilli challenge with Oakel Fish being a core memory of mine. But completely agree about the EVO’s, it’s reinvigorated my love for UT and has prolonged my experience playing it this year. I started with Meta cards and have now transitioned into Aston Villa EVO’s due to the sheer amount available. Can’t wait for next years as I’ll be doing this from the start. P.s. Keep smashing it, still loving your content a decade later.

I had a lot of trouble with weird bounce backs this weekend. some games were a real struggle and some were brilliant, no matter the quality of the opponent or if I won or lost. So the gameplay was either absolutely abysmal or quite good for me.

Matchmaking definitely seems like a mess to me, it doesn't matter how low my form goes the games can still get more difficult as I drop in form sometimes. This weekend for example i started 3-7, but then managed to end on 11 wins with my final 3 games being the easiest even though my form has been brought back up to neutral/positive.

Hey nep I’m doing a Bristol rovers evo team and I have two 87s and an 86 with hundreds of games on them and because they started at bronzes and silvers I would never play this many games with them in previous fifas a bit like you because you would never play with players like gio queiroz for this many games . Hi Nep, hope you’re well. I’ve heard a lot of content creators this year say they wouldn’t still be playing this game if it wasn’t for evo’s. I really love evo’s and think they’ve made this game great. However, a few years I stopped playing fifa/fc 24 due to work/family etc and came back this year to a game that is still very similar to all FIFA’s imo. I’ve played since FIFA 13 where I play 1250+ games a year and feel the game always has ‘x’ amount of broken mechanics that differ every year and frustrating bounces but the game remains the same. Some years content is better or worse than other. So I suppose my question is, do you feel nostalgia from the older fifas where people were younger or perhaps enjoyed metas etc more is the reason people are becoming ever more disinterested in FC 24 and fifas? I understand the game isn’t perfect but has any game ever been perfect, especially something as complex as a football game, would be interested to hear what you think as feel although this game isn’t perfect and the annoying mechanics frustrate people, the game is still far more engaging than any other game hence why we all play it. Love the videos and so good to be back following you and FC 24 this year, keep up the great work!

Not sure, why people are surprised about the matchmaking in fut champs being off. The form based matchmaking is broken since Fifa 23, but because the good players benefit from it over the 20 games they don't want it to be fixed.

Tbh when I play just for fun, it’s still hard to stay focused and know the game will be bs. That being said, I concede kick offs after working for my goal. I concede stupid rebounds and my players either never tackle, or when they try to, the ball bounces back. So now, I don’t care for special cards, and likely wouldn’t want to do any sbc or whatever because the better my team had gotten, the worse the gameplay is for me. I’m going to probably use my evo females, with only 1 icon and rest golds

Hi Nep, I want to get you thoughts on if you think that EA will release an icon evolution at some point. We've seen a couple of evo's with Hero's now and the evolved Alex Scott is my favorite right back on the game. I've saved a few low end first owner icons who I enjoyed earlier in the game cycle but are now just behind the power curve. Love the content right now and glad to see you continuing to enjoy playing the RTG :)

I have been using full full-female team since November. I had the same experience as you when I cared too much about winning, I lost a massive number of games. When I started to enjoy using the team, my performance improved a lot. Now I nearly get through Div 6 using this anti-meta team 🤣

You should just do Petr Čech tbh I understand u wanna keep it with current players but its Jan and base gold GK of any lvl is gonna be a headache let alone 85ovr so I think being GK it's acceptable to do with the upgrade even base icon but just my opinion

the matchmaking in WL was -5 to +5 elo i believe. so if you a 5-0 in WL you can play against who have 0 elo or +10 elo

While I agree that matchmaking can be off, I do think it's kinda wild that you play some games in div 4 and claim that you could have "maybe got 16 or even 18" playing that way. Matchmaking is not that far off and not for all 20 games. High form is still high form. Don't get me wrong it would be great to see you achieving high ranks with this Arsenal squad, but doing ok in div 4 is not an indicator for 10+ form.

It's sad you can't message people on PC because I felt the matchmaking was truly poor last WL, I was -4 and still going up against people that were better than me and not even close to my skill. Genuinely the worst start to any WL I've ever had I was 1-6, managed to clutch 11 wins but jesus wept was it bad last week.

Evo is literally the only good thing about this game. Just like chemistry last year, it’s not perfect on first release but they will improve it. Maybe in they future they can do multiple evos at a time. They can do objectives to unlock evo cards where you can continue to upgrade them. I think the random ass promos ruined the game, it’s all the same every promo. They will have 3-4 cards that are too expensive, 1-2 mid priced and then 10 cards that are discard but some will have an evo for them in 2 months. The futchamps rewards are dead, its all fodder

But EA recently released a second Founders Evo, with slightly more restrictions on who you could put in, and a ‘Founders Upgrade’ Evo, which allows you to give a +2 overall and +1 star skill moves to any completed founders evolution. For some reason I can only see the Founders 2 Evo, not the Founders Upgrade Evo as well, which came out shortly afterwards.
