This movie is really underrated, possibly due in part to the fact it only had like two famous actors in it. It's one of those sleeper movies that you might have to watch two or three times to really appreciate how good it was. For a guy who hardly ever watches any movie more than once, I can watch this one several times.

Same here. Really liked this movie but i can see why it wasnt appreciated by the mass. I was kinda thinkin of this storyline: The son of the mafia that likes Bob lets bob take over the bar while still working for them. Everything is cool until a new family takes over killing the Cechnyans son. They let Bob run the bar but he dissaproves of the new management and them wanting to push drugs out of the bar. He refuses offer but is kinda forced to keep running it for the new mafia. All the while that cop from the first one is still investigating the murder of james gandolfini and still lookin for the mystery body that we find out was actually killed by bob but the kthwr guy took the props for. The cop is getting closer to the truth as he keeps investigating. When bobs had enough and tells the new mabagement that he wants out, they execute his dog and the girl from part 1 while shes home babysitting the dog. Then the john wick comes out of Bob and he goes after the new boss. But honestly its kind of difficult to turn it into a “crime/action” movie because thats what made the first one different. First one didnt really have ANY action until maybe the end where there was a VERY brief showdown between Bob and the punk whwre only one bullet was shot. What made it cool to me was how the director didnt really put any shoot em up shit but injected alot of tension through dialogue and tense situations with a lil twist added where the audience thought they knew what was going on just to be surprised with NOT a crazy twist but a subtle one that they can appreciate. Another story i can think of is James gandolfinis fat sister arming herself and going after the mafia in revenge of her brothers death. Lol
