If there's a volcano you can count me in... If there is more than one even better! If they are in the middle of a lake on an island! BOOM Mind blown haha
In this episode Mike and I make our way from Popoyo Nicaragua to the island of Ometepe. We cross small rivers, get a bit muddy, and ride some beautiful country.
After getting some food in Rivas Nicaragua we made out way to the ferry terminal.. Where the real adventure has just begun.
In the next episode Mike and I will attempt to summit the highest volcano on the island alone.

Really really great video. You took us with you on your adventure. Loved the entire thing. Please take us on the hike up the volcano. We live in Texas and a few yrs ago we went to an extinct volcano in NM. My husband and a park ranger took my wheelchair apart and carried it up the stairs and put it back together. I was able to go almost all the way around the upper rim of the volcano. It wasn’t paved and all. It was lava hardened. It was extremely steep. My chair started trying to flip over backwards so I had to turn around and back track. But it was a blast. It was like being on top of the world. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to hike up the side. Stay safe and God Bless to you and Mike

I live in San Diego and I totally agree with the surfing thing. I sold my surfboard many years ago and do not regret it at all. Even if you have the waves to yourself and you catch a good one it last like 5 seconds. Not worth all the trouble to me. Dual sport bikes for the win!

I’d say on average maybe around 35-45 dollars a day. If you don’t ride the bike, in some places I find hostels for like 10US and eat food for maybe 10 as well. Camping I’ve had 12 dollar days

With all due respect, your GPS replaced the tour guide. It's up to you to decide what's the right thing to do

Yeah, not only the GPS but technology as a whole. The access to information about the route is plentiful. Someone could do the research and really get an idea of what to expect before they go. You add that with experience and depending on what that experience level is would determine how comfortable you felt to take it on or not. I just hate when people try to capitalize off mother nature by making barrier’s of entry. A guide service should be offered, but not forced upon you. Using fear tactics to try and make it seem like it’s illegal or too hard to do when in reality it’s not illegal to do alone. Once I figure that out I didn’t feel bad at all. In terms of danger and technical features on the hike I would give it a solid 3/10. I have no issues with guide services and have used them in the past and will use them in the future.

Landon, I think you have confused political for social.

Yeahh I’m sure you’re right. But I think political can also be used to describe simply as the way decisions are made in groups of people.. political doesn’t have to refer to countries or just governments. I say political because sometimes it really does feel like you swim up and it’s a group of people that all know each other or maybe two or three groups that know each other and it feels very tribal. Like there are all these rules and ranks and you gotta know your place.
