There isnt really a point for a player, but it's the historical path, mainly used by the AI. Could also be used in Multiplayer if you go Obedience and then "The Two Emporers" (you'll be "equal" to Japan and also get cores on China)

Started a game as fascist Sweden and joined the axis, then joined war against USSR, (also Norway rejected to become my puppet so had to go to war with the allies as well, but for some reason it became German puppet and not mine) and it was fun until manpower and supplies lasted, but now all of my infantry divisions are like at third of their strength, Italy is gone, France is liberated and Soviets are pushing into to balkans. Still thinking if it could be saved and what I could’ve done different Edit: inspired by our beloved hoi4 content creator here I decided to try to save this disaster of my making. First I reduced the number of battalions in my divisions and merged weaker divisions together getting 1 somewhat capable infantry army and 6 armoured divisions. Then I decided to bet everything on naval invasion of Britain, since winter was coming and Russian front was stuck. And wouldn’t you know it I did actually manage to capitulate UK, but now that I really got Allies’ attention, I had to dedicate half of my army to guard ports in the UK and Denmark. But Soviets were already in western Poland by this moment so I had to rush what remained of army east, because I couldn’t invade France from Britain since now the Royal Navy was dominating waters around its mainland. Germany was at Scrapping the barrel and still had no manpower left, and I understood that there wasn’t really any chance to turn this around, but I still decided to do one last offensive, to try and cut the whole soviet south army which already was at the gates of Vienna, but it didn’t work and the whole front collapsed which led to some of my divisions getting destroyed. In the end I managed to last longer than Germany but still was forced to surrender after soviet naval invasion of Stockholm. Nevertheless, it was a fun ride.

Yknow ive been playing a lot of historical Finnland, like a lot and it's not easy one might call it an experience that makes me want to beat my head on a brick wall but I did manage to beat the soviet union and take all cored and claimed states from them and estonia and puppeted Lithuania and latvia and got massive puppet in the soviet union having all 2 major cities left as I own pietari and i didn't even use mods for it. I wanted to strike out again and get the rest of Scandinavia but that would take forever and my games already running at a snails pace on top of the fact I didn't build an air force because it would take time and ic needed for military production and it's almost 1943 and I wanna curl into a ball and cry. Now I wanna see bitter steel do it to see if he would do any better
