For bluegill you gotta put as little bait on the hook as possible. That way you get a better chance of them biting the hook and not just nibbling the bait off. I like to use "Slurpies" from Wal-Mart to catch bluegill. They're small rubber minnows with a weighted hook inside; bass and bluegill love them. Great for ponds, but probably not for rivers. Never fried a whole fish before, dont know how the family would react if I pulled that outta the fryer, lol

New sub here. Am an avid watcher of the Japanese (English sub) channels with similar content, and I’m so happy to have found an American doing it and doing it extremely well I might add. With Japanese subtitles essentially! Could not ask for more and then he adds on live fishing! Frickin golden content. The Japanese creators are dope, but your more relatable and I understand the nuances much clearer. Not to mention pretty intelligent bro, you speak the language and can genuinely relay the culture and I’m grateful for that. Thank you for creating this Mark, please keep it up! And btw, you RIP on those scooters! Keep shredding shit bro.

But the meat is for fathers as it makes people go crazy. And bathtub gin. I will never try the meat when I M old enough. Shell and bone and innards scLes more nutritious and tastes best.

I think a reason that you're losing those bites is the way you're putting the worm on the hook. Normally you just want a small morsel on it, so that the fish will swallow the hook and not just steal the bait. I think hook size depends on what kind of fish you're going for, a size 4 should be able to catch sunfish, rock bass, and small largemouth bass. For the catfish, you should probably set the hook since you're using a J hook (a circle hook doesn't need to be set), or the bait was too big. I'm not a professional, but I hope this helps.

You should try using the “gulp alive” minnow lures at Walmart. You can use them with or without bobbers. Almost anything bites those. I use them on small crappie hooks maybe a size 1 or 2 depending on what size of fish you want to hook on. It’s been a cheat code for me the past few times I’ve fished with them. Just hook it through the “nose” of the lure, also remember to “make it look alive”. Almost landed a decent sized bullhead (maybe 8lb) but it broke off lol. Keep up the vids though!

I caught a 15 pound channel in Denver at a park lake using a slice of chicken breast on Carolina rig at like 12am but caught ones that size one corn and chicken breast raw slices before that on day time. Best of luck, you can also use the blue hill as live bait for gar and bass and then cut bait for cats.

Try to use less bait on your hook next time. Smaller hook for bluegill too. Planting potatoes are fun and easy. You can cut chunks up and as long as they have the "eyes," they will sprout. I suggest starting them in a shallow class of water first until you see the roots pop in. Happy fishing! :)

For blue gill keep everything the same just use way less worm. I always like to cut a bug night crawler into 1/4s so you can put it on the hook like a sock and save bait
@FailBucketFilms
@FailBucketFilms Жыл бұрын
Once thing you might wanna try with those Canadian night crawlers is cutting it into about 4 equal pieces and use each piece, through the hook only one time. Not only do you save worm, but I have found I get a better hook ratio and catch more fish with the smaller piece. Cutting it into halves also works well if you wanna catch bigger fish, but remember to only hook through the worm once! that's my tip of the day. Love your vids.

Great channel Mark. Just a heads up. Catfish absorb many of the toxins, heavy metals etc. In their outer skin. Their skin is not recommended for human consumption. The fish itself is delicious and safe within moderation of course. I really enjoyed watching you fry up whole small fish and eating them whole.

Use whatever worms you want just cut the worm to size as you did with the cut bait. This way you will catch more fish and save worms. Also, get a pack of bobbers from Walmart for like 2.50 and they come with like ten bobbers cheaper that way. Also, the knot you tied was an improved clinch knot I think.
