OK, so there are homeless people, and crime is rampant, and taxes are way too high, and the City spends millions to make a park? Where is their sense of priority?

question. if architects use computers to simulate the physics then why cant someone who didn't go to school for engineering get a job as an architect?
@SimplyStuart942 жыл бұрын
Maybe I future they can, but for now, as I understand it, it's a protected profession because we didn't always have computers to do the calculations so that responsibility fell on the architect (as well as other engineers)

I’m curious; what was the carbon foot print for this project? It seems like the planet got just tad bit warmer for vanity’s sake. 🤷🏾♀️
@elifuentes70702 жыл бұрын
Don’t worry. In terms of carbon footprint, NY state in general has the second lowest carbon footprint of all the states in US. And that is in large part due to NYC vast investment in public transportation, our multifamily housing. We need the space for public park and we need parks like this, “vanity” as you call it.

At the low-low cost of what? I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 10 billion dollars.

The project cost $260million. The money probably could have been better spent restoring or expanding existing parks. But when the rich people of Manhatten want something, by golly you'd better deliver.
