Pete, there is a very cool feature of IB that perhaps you don't know about. When you are looking at all 4 hands and going through your play, card-by-card, at the end of a board, you can stop at any point in the play, click at the 3-bars icon (near the board number) and choose "Play". This way you can *alter* the sequence of cards played by all hands and explore various possibilities. Combine this with the lightbulb and you can reveal all sorts of fascinating information on the hand. You can also do exactly the same thing for the play at the other table. How cool is that!? I hope this helps you for future IB videos.

Pete, I really appreciate your discussing what *should* be bid as if there were competent opponents rather than we-can-count-but-we-can't-think automatons in the other seats.

I would typically open 1C on that hand. I don't mind 1D or 1NT they are actually both reasonable.
