Haven't been following the technology behind games since probably HL2. Unreal 5 is insane, the forest map looked fucking amazing. I hope they add the ability to go prone, I'd imagine that the forest map would be NUTS if you could go prone.

One of my biggest issues with ‘realism’ in games is the hyper-unrealistic weapon recoil. While I can’t speak to all weapons, I have shot a plethora of carbines, shotguns, MGs, and sidearms of varying calibers, and I have even shot some of them on full auto. And I know for a fact that they don’t kick that much. Like, I shoot M4s all the time, and if an untrained wannabe grunt like me can shoot it on full auto with decent accuracy and perfect recoil control, then surely a trained professional like SWAT or Spec Ops can handle it. There’s no reason that a 9mm handgun has more recoil in a game than an M2 Browning has in real life.
