If I tell you that this home has been abandoned for just four years, would you believe me?
Well, as a matter of fact, it’s the truth.
I explored this remarkably decayed French house back in the early summer of 2022 and discovered something quite haunting. Through some later research, I found out it was once called the home of Mrs. Thérèse, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 87.
As I wandered through the desolate rooms, I found proof that someone had lived within these walls not too long ago. We found a calendar dating from 2018!
Moreover, there were fishing permits scattered around, bearing the name Alexandre. Further digging reveals that he is one of Mrs. Thérèse’s grandchildren.
But here’s where the mystery deepens: with so many grandchildren, how could this home fall into such neglect so quickly? How could it decay so rapidly, almost as if time itself had accelerated within its walls?
Prepare yourself for a puzzling exploration as I delve into the secrets of this abandoned house, searching for clues and unraveling the enigma of its swift descent into ruin.

Hey Miriam, you make a good point. It's possible that the state of decay we see reflects years of neglect even before the official abandonment. Maintaining such a property can be a challenge, especially if the family faced difficulties. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

collect what you love and buy what you wants... antiques or paintings... vases, furniture, elegant clothes, expensive bags. But remember...it is only a transit station Everything you will leave behind Your home, your antiques, your personal belongings, your car, your watch, even your ID card You will go to be buried alone... Neither your father nor your mother will come with you Neither your brother nor your sister Neither your best friend... nor your wife Nor your children...you will go alone... You will be asked about everything you did in this mortal life Therefore, take with you what will benefit you in your grave Take your good deed...more of it Because everything is either a witness for you...or a witness against you.....

It’s all about the humidity! You would be shocked at the lengths those who live in hot humid environments go to stop mold and mildew in their homes. Also when left, leaking roofs, leaking pipes, open windows yes this can and does happen in a few short years. It’s a real shame this home and contents are ruined.

Hi Jean, you're absolutely right about the impact of humidity! It's incredible how quickly mold and decay can take over, especially in hot, humid environments. Hey dear Maureno, Explomo, yeah, I fully agree to you, that most of the rooms show very heavy mould and intensive traces of decay. - Of course there is still some beauty behind all that decay visible, especially in the living room. - I had quite an eerie feeling when watching this video because of the somehow sad atmosphere there. Nevertheless an interesting explore! Thank you for sharing this Urbex experience, bro. Wishing you all the best, kindest blessings, peace and heartful greetings from Switzerland.

Hi there, thanks for your comment and for sharing this information! I'm curious about where you found out that Alexandre died in 2000, especially since we found a death notice for Mrs. Thérèse from 2019 mentioning that her grandson, Alexandre, was still alive at that time. Given that he was her grandson, it seems unlikely for him to have passed away earlier than her at the age of 70. I’d love to hear more about your sources and any additional information you have.

The property may have been finally abandoned 2 years ago, but it was "neglected" by its occupants for a very long time. The yard and grounds have not seen any care for at least the last 10 years they lived there. Unfortunately, they must not have had money to spend on repairs for that long and lived there in its decaying state for quite a while. They should have asked all their children and grandchildren to help them keep the place up so they could pass the property on to them. It was too far gone 2 years ago to be restored and lived in.
@Explomo

Hey Dave! Thanks for the info! That’s really interesting to know. I guess I mixed it up with Buddhism, but it's great to have viewers like you who can share these details. Those books must bring back some memories for you. Appreciate you watching and commenting!

Thanks for your concern! We always take precautions and I'm very aware of the dangers of black mold. This house was indeed very moldy, which is why I was wearing a mask. Safety first! 😊🦺🔍

Hi there! I know, it's unbelievable, right? The house was probably already in a decayed state when the last people still lived there, as the family couldn't maintain it. It's amazing how much decay and mold can take over in just four years. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Looks like 14 years not 4 years and stuff there is like 80s
@Explomo
@Explomo 3 күн бұрын
You're right, it does look like it has been decaying for much longer than 4 years. It seems like the property was already in a state of neglect when the last residents lived there, perhaps because the family couldn't maintain it properly anymore. The 80s decor is because the last generation who lived there, an older lady, probably had a preference for antique furniture and didn't choose to modernize it.
