The quality of the image for the price is just unbeatable. And yes, you can rig it out with a cage, etc. but it really shines as a handheld camera, especially when using a lens with built-in stabilization. My comment about this camera being the compact, handheld version of the PYXIS came from Blackmagic. The only thing I'm disappointed by is the rolling shutter skew (the thing that kept it from being "perfect" in the title). The readout in open gate is a little slow. Fortunately it can be corrected with gyro data in Resolve unless you're doing whip pans. I'll try to find and include a more subtle example when I post the test footage video. Something I didn't mention in the review is that you can shoot anamorphic using the full sensor, so when you desqueeze, you don't have to crop anything. Some people were disappointed by the 13 stops of dynamic range (as opposed to, say, 16) but I don't see an issue. It's still a huge amount of latitude recording in Blackmagic Raw. The camera was on loan from Blackmagic Design but if I know the answer off the top of my head I'll be sure to let you know! During this review I was shooting a lot for @terradrift, so my footage is all nature/outdoors. nice vid. for stabilization i use gyroflow - works really well (sometimes rolling shutter is off) - you'll need to calibrate your lenses, but it's worth a shot imo as in a lot of cases it produced a better result than resolve
