I am cautiously optimistic. As a Pirate101 player I have learned to protect my heart but I think if KI gives Pirate101 the love it DESERVES it will be worth the pay off

best thing is about pirate is that it never turned inherently bad or incompetent, it just stayed stagnant at a respectable level unlike wiz, which means it can quite easily surpass wiz with its slower and thought-out updates, wiz players themselves might just switch over who knows

This is without doubt one of the greatest games I’ve ever played, I bought all the areas and I am glad I did. It was worth it, I think the idea to move the paywall all the way after Ratbeard at the volcano would be the perfect spot. Players will get the first idea of how the story plays out. I am happy to see this game making a comeback.

Personally what they have to deal with most is the recovery time of teammates. To recover they need 8 hours that’s pretty bad unless you pay an exhortation amount of gold.

I stopped playing Wiz and Pirate around the same time about 10 years ago. Been playing Wiz for the last 2 weeks and decided to come back to try pirate again since I spent more time in it. I can look past some of the rough edges, but I'm honestly shocked that Pirate didn't inherit some of the great QoL from Wizard like Guilds (could be called Crews in Pirate), texture and model updates, and stuff like stitching. I got to the character creator and nearly had a spit-take from how rough the faces look compared to Wiz.

I hope this update becomes successful and when the update drops they push those Pirate101 ads on KZbin like crazy just to make it more mainstream and well known. But one thing that COULD scare away new people are the prices of the crown shop items and how mounts are STILL not for gold like in Wiz. Some things still need updates but I'm wishing the best for Pirate. Another thing I think they should do when the update drops is do a membership sale for easier access.

Pirate101 is DEF worth playing! Story is amazing, combat system is awesome and gear builds are so much more unique than wiz! I have a laptop and am able to run both very smoothly

I had a potato laptop and it ran pirate well outside of fast combat (a feature to speed up combat animations) lol
