I would play 4 and 5 because they take place 25 years after Gears of War 3. Gears of War 4 and 5 aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Granted they aren't as good as the original trilogy, but that doesn't mean they aren't good in their own right.

The new recruit Private "Ben Carmine" is actually the brother of Anthony Carmine from the first game. He was apart of Delta team throughout the 2nd mission until his gun jammed outside the House of Sovereigns and was killed by a Locust sniper. I guess it's up for debate if he died a hero's death. so for some tips If a locust is down on it's kneels go walk to it and press X to stomp their heads, Press Y will make Marcus Punch the down locust. and another one Press A to use a down Locust as meat shield and you'll use your pistol to get close to the Locust and shoot. In any difficulty Wretches can be one punch to death (not the chainsaw gun) with any weapon (still would not try grenades but if you wanna try it go ahead lol) . take out a grenade you can Press B to stick it on Walls use them for trap mines for any enemies trying to rush you and they will die from the grenades stuck on walls. you can also do it in Multiplayer lol. Plus you no longer need to worry about berserkers without using the hammer of dawn, and the Krylls the bat bug locust thing their all dead from the end of Gears of war 1. And Lasty you can do CHAINSAW GUN DUELS PRESS HOLD B AGAINST AND RUN UP TO A LOCUST WITH USING A CHAINSAW GUN !

2 things 1. You can click the right stick and zoom in with some guns like pistols the hammerburst and snipers 2. When a locust is down you can press b for a quick finisher or press y for a different one, some guns have specific executions when u press y

There is so much lore to the gears of war franchise you gotta look some of it up before the 3rd game for sure. For example, Tai is a South islander who basically joined the COG to kill UIR soldiers because they killed his people. Something along those lines. It's super interesting and the comics go hard. Glad to see you on Gears 2 man

30:01 funny you should say that, splash damage is the studio behind Transformers Reactive and they were the ones who made Gears: Tactics, a great gears spin off game in 2020 which takes place just after EDay and the story is connected to a major character in Gears 5. Can’t use the chainsaw when getting shot, either sneak up or use smoke grenade to stun them or use it when they’re down. Plus shotgun melee can’t get stunned like the chainsaw so that’d be better for head on rush

Remember to use the chainsaw make sure you don't get hit, usually wrapping around corners and chainsawing is the best way to go.

I dont know if anyone has said it but if you throw the grenades into the e holes fast before anything climbs out then you wont have to fight whatever was about to come out of the hole. Also the mortar closes grub holes if I remember correctly.
