The only way you're not going to jail if you're guilty (jail being hell), is if somebody who HASNT committed the crime, pays your bail. Thats why Jesus right before he died said, "it is finished". (John 19:30) "It is finished" meaning paid in full. So, how do we accept this gift so that we could be forgiven of our sins and go to heaven? The Bible makes it clear. John 6:27-29 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 3:14-16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
