My boy max. I dont know if you read this comments. But when they say "herald games are harder than this" they might be onto something. I am between legend 3 and 5 most of the seasons. But when i log to play with my friends in herald in a herald account. ITS ACTUALLY MAD. LIKE ITS TOTALLY RANDOM WHO WILL WIN. :d:d:D you can be up 50-0 and your team never attacks the ancient once. Its another type of dota. Its a psychological disaster

nah, Max rarely reads comments, unless I send him something specific. as a fellow 3k enjoer I understand what you're talking about, and I agree that dota is completely different in each bracket and there are unique negative features that players in each bracket have. However. We should always remember that when we watch high mmr streamers, we see things from their perspective and judge the situation(usually) from their point of view. When Qojqva outplays an enemy mid and jokingly calls him a bot, it doesn't actually mean that that player is universally bad, it only means that at that particular moment Qojqva was stronger. If we put that person who got outplayed into a ridiculously lower bracket, he will crush 99% of games, regardless of how bad his teammates are, the sheer skill difference will be so big that only him playing properly will be enough to win, if that weren't the case, nobody would care about smurfs and boosters. I've played in different brackets, and probably around 5-6k I've enjoyed games the most, because people were better than me, but not toxic enough to make me feel bad about it. playing among 9-10k players felt extremely different, I was unable to stay alive on lane the second I appeared on the enemy vision. and I'm not even talking about the pace of these games, and the amount of details that these players do consistently. They don't have a feeling that "ah, we can chill a little bit, we're gonna win anyway", no, they still give it their all, and the capacity of THEIR ALL is beyond your comprehension. Yes, you see the skill difference when super high mmr players are thrown into a 9-10k pool, but when you actually FEEL that you're unable to do things that you've considered normal, you start to actually feel how good these guys are relative to your own rank. And when I played 1 game against some 11-12k players, I've never felt myself more useless and hopeless, and to this day that was one of the most embarrasing games I've ever had. Giving it my biggest effort resulted in me not landing a single spell in the enemies, because they were 20 steps ahead of me and saw every move that I was going to make. There are a lot of high mmr streamers who do this herald challenge and shit, but first of all, it's a terrible thing to do and they will get punished for it. Secondly, punching down is not a good content, and you instantly lose credibility by even participating in such thing. I don't think Qojqva would go 50-0 every game, but winning 99-100% of these games is very realistic, considering he's never gonna give up and let any kind of broken game go, and once a bad game goes late, that's the zone where he's virtually unbeatable by low mmr players who don't have even a fraction of his experience. I do hope we see some in-house games with viewers in the future, but that will be up to qoq

There's a video of Quinn 1v5 heralds and wins. For someone in the Immortal 200+ bracket, winning herald games is easy as they have the skill set to solo games. Herald is only hard when you are also herald. If you have the skills to be at the top playing against noobs is easy. This applies to every competitive sport/game.

But that goes to your enemy too right? they are stupid as fuck same with your team mates. If you are better than all of them then in default you should win. I started from 2k since my account is from my brother and i climbed to 6k, and the hardest of the climb is from 5k to 6k, and currently stagnant because that is my skill level, i can blame the ego of my team mates but i am self aware enough that i know its just my skill as a dota player as of the moment as im not striving to climb right now.

People complaining about low rank games being hard, I get you. I play with my low rank fris and usually due to mmr gap, the enemy team players are higher ranking than my fris but lower than me. Played sniper with shard pike bkb, enemies just bought 5blink and dived me until beside the throne while t3s are still up and my team just watched. Can't just watch pro plays and blindly copy, becoz just 1 SB might be better for that bracket rather than 3defensive items. Ofcourse when 4other team mates are not just useless but chain feeding because they can't understand timing and power spikes, games get hard. But I really think pros can win ez up until like ancient even without micromanaging bad teammates. Adaltability and macro game is key to win games and not just sheer mechanical prowess.

I don't think it's harder to play dota in herald, i do however think its hard to play good dota in herald. People are all over the place, no clear objectives. Enemy running at you with 5 man 7 minutes in etc. I would also much rather play football with a pro team than my friends, as they actually know how to play lol.

And that can very much be true because between smurfs and derankers, you also have people who just genuinely have no idea what to do so there will be games you do nothing right and win and games you do everything right and lose because you’re 1v3-5 actual people who are randomly doing the correct thing. At least immortal would have people who have a vague idea of what they should be doing, even if they can’t do it perfectly every single time, which would make skill actually affect the outcome, unlike herald. Qojqva just misinterpreted the point and ran with it instead of second guessing his assumption of what the person might have meant.
