It surprires me how a game from 2004 has a better charaterizzation of characters thorught animations than a lot of AAA titles of recent days

@Acronomico10 ай бұрын
@@diamondhamster4320 For sure dude, you are taking comparison between new generation and old generation, the point is even for 2003 technologies, this game has amazing animation, don't get it wrong,those are a bit overexaggerated, but to the point were they still can be expressive and give ideas about the characters characterizzation without making it dumb funny (look like RE2 with 1000 times facial animation). The focus in this is that for 2003 this was peak game animation (Some animation films had it better, but like, they are films, they are not interactive and things do not tend to repeat often), TLOU and Cyberpunk are expressive, but for what we can do in modern days, talking about the immersion we could give the player now and the quality of it all, it's completely shit, and obv, it's not the animators fault, it's about the industry. SO if you compare times , work and situation all on the same line, yes, this game is better effort on animations than today's AAA (even graphically talking trust me, as a dev, i can prove you easly that photorealism is easier to achieve now than any else artistic style with own identity and animation talking, is (pass me the concept cause it's not truly easier, you still have to learn how to) easier to make throught motion capture instead of animating something with it's own identity)
