Hell yeah. The year is 2011, I've just moved to melbourne, and was my first couple of weeks at sandy high. Met a dude there, we'll call him Ned. Ned just so happened to invite me to his house after school one day, and since id always had strict parents, i was never really allowed to game at my own house. Enter TF2 opening screen. Fast forward a week and I had my own steam account, and shortly after, bought my own first videogame. Thank you, Ned. Having to listen to people who might not know the best routes to take but it's mandatory because they've got the dough, but then simultaneously taking the risks of pushing out an unfinished game or something that would make them less money which there then isn't as much of to push towards the quality of future releases. All around there's been a decline in game quality at its core, whether it be story or mechanics or graphically or what have you, but if people keep purchasing these products then that general quality direction isn't gonna change until more games break the cycle
