Every brick and mortar “church” IS of the world, they are businesses, isn’t that obvious? Take away the dollars and see how fast things crumble as the Way of the Living God is not their foundation. We will know them by their works…what servant has more than those he serves? And yet every paid preacher claims he’s a servant… WE are living temples, and the Spirit of the Living God is equipping those seeking Life in spirit and truth to testify to what IS, not to what mankind is making up. ALL religions are vanity to justify our works in service to mammon, which is the ways of men. The House of the Lord is going to get a cleaning here real soon…the “evil” and “wicked” ones the scriptures speak of, is NOT the nations who do not claim to believe in God, but the impious, self righteous ones who do…oh how puffed up and foolish they are!🙄😂

Back about 10 years ago, my family was attending a church that gradually began to be more concerned with entertaining and making unbelievers comfortable rather than feeding believers with solid biblical teaching. The last straw came on a Sunday when there was a contest to see who could drink a blended happy meal the fastest. The contest involved a young man in his late teens versus an older woman, probably in her early 60’s. We never returned and I’m happy to say that we are now members of a solid church where the pastor goes verse by verse, chapter by chapter and book by book through the entire Bible.

Same here in central IL, at my church, the services had been solid and Bible-centered, then the Pastor and Elders read books on Church Growth by Rick Warren and Bill Hybels. Suddenly EVERYTHING changed, and we were told "now we will focus on the unbelievers, so please don't take up my time, and don't say anything as I shake hands after services" We really didn't have a pastor after that. Everything was geared Seeker-Sensitive after that! ps ... Those of us that wanted to go back to the Bible started to find another church home. The church has gone from 4 services a week ...down to ONE....but they are drawing the crowds in...yet the pastor told my husband..."no one wants to do any work in the church, no one volunteers ... While living in the UK I met a Christian guy from a country where the main religion is Islam (rather not share the country name for safety purposes). We were in a youth group and had a Biblie study in a living room setting. We sat on sofas etc. I put my Bible on the carpet while we were talking. When this guy saw it, he immediately picked it up and gently asked me to not put the Word of God on the ground. He explained that they have such respect for the Word of God that they do not even put anything on top of their Bible. This same exact guy also witnessed a church bombing and the death of his friend a few years prior. While I am not sharing this because I think we have to make a law of this, I also know that I will never forget this experience. For Christians in these countries being a believer and follower of Jesus Christ is all or nothing. Their lives are at stake every single day. And yet, they are the ones who show the most respect and reverence to God.

How are you able to have an outreach if your view of the situation is that small group of people can do that. I´m not trying to be offensive , but think about it. If all churches were just home churches, how would we as christians be able to have an impact on sharing the gospel ? As a kid I’ve been to a church that was sort of like this, but it was purely for kids (and teens), and they knew when to get serious about topics that young Christian’s NEEDED to understand. Ofc most kids there were forced by their parents to go, and jeez it really saddened me to see the kids with the best most faithful parents make some of the worst decisions.

Many people have no fear of God. These pastors haven't read the words Jesus spoke, "I never knew you; depart from Me you who practice lawlessness. " How God is holding back His just wrath shows His great patience.

Yep, you nailed it. These church leaders have such a low, man-centered view of the gospel and of the power of God to work salvation in the hearts of sinners, that they think they need to "woo" people with entertainment and fluff in order to get them converted. I would last about 10 minutes in a church service like this. It's repulsive and insulting to me, but more importantly, to God.

The word of God is what brings about the renewing of the mind, which leads to genuine repentance. Sadly, there is no word of God being spoken here.

A dear brother shared a message that sheep are in need of a sheperd and that we have forgotten what Jesus taught concerning compassion. He shared this verse,. My prayer and hope is that we all ponder on this verse and learn from the Lord Jesus Christ because truly, we lack this so much. And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” - Matthew 9:35-38 ❤JESUS= COMPASSION May we be drawn to be compassionate towards our brethern, those who are persecuted, those who are forgotten, those who are encarcerated. May we learn to pray earnestly and pray for the edification of Christ body. 😢

I recently had a discussion with a friend about this very topic, and it's something that resonates deeply with both of us. Coming from a Catholic background, we've always held a certain reverence for the church as a sacred space. In contrast, many megachurches and modern Protestant churches often feel more like performance venues than places of worship. Ever since I gave my life to Christ and was baptized in a Christian church, I've explored various denominations such as Pentecostal, Baptist, Apostolic, and Methodist. The church I was baptized in, a blend of Apostolic and Pentecostal traditions, had a structure reminiscent of Catholic churches, albeit without the statues of saints and crosses adorning every corner. However, my journey through different denominations hasn't been without its challenges; I've even been asked to leave Pentecostal churches for questioning certain practices. Currently, I attend Life Church, introduced to me by a close friend who shared Craig Groeschel's leadership podcasts from my company. While I've gleaned valuable insights on business management from these resources, I also find truth in the criticisms levied against Life Church and its approach. It's disheartening because amidst its flaws, there's undeniable potential for Life Church to positively impact people worldwide. Despite our attendance, my family and I remain vigilant, discerning elements that don't align with our beliefs and not accepting every sermon as infallible truth. As someone who strives to remain optimistic, I've realized that no church is perfect; there will always be aspects that don't resonate or fall short of biblical ideals. In navigating these complexities, I believe it's imperative to engage with the Bible personally, guarding against deception, and to fervently pray for our church leaders and pastors to be guided by the Holy Spirit and courageous in speaking truth.

Greetings, There is a reason that there are a multitude of denominations in the world today, each professing to be of Christ, but yet divided in doctrine and in their worship of God. It is not because this is what Jesus desired, for when he prayed to the Father, he prayed that those who are his would be one, even as they are one (John 17:11, 21-22). But these denominations are those who though perhaps some started off on the right path, later on strayed from the narrow path unto the broad path, and denominated themselves, taking on lesser names, now doing what is right in their own eyes, rather than what the Lord God commands of his people. Jesus Christ said: *Mark 3:25 (KJV)* And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. So it is for his church, his bride. The church of Jesus Christ is not divided; she is not made up of various denominations that believe and teach different things pertaining to Christ. She stands on one faith, and all her members are of one mind, as it is written: *Ephesians 4:5-6 (KJV)* 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. *Phillipians 2:3 (KJV)* Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. An important teaching from a man of God on this matter: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epLCZYRoeMtoga8

It's upsetting to see how the world has seeped into the church. My wife is attending a church with blue lights and smoke effects during "worship". The pastor justifies them by saying they're "tools for worship" God help them.
