This is basically a prequel/reboot of the OG tomb raider. Tomb raider came out in like 1996. Uncharted took HUGE inspiration from tomb raider, that's why they call the protagonist of uncharted "dude raider" lol

To be fair media always has inspiration from other media like tomb raider has inspiration from Indiana Jones and then Indiana Jones has inspiration from a bunch of different classic adventure films from the early 20th century all the way up to when they made raiders of the lost ark like the film The man who would be king. Inspiration is the fuel for more creative and subjectively better media always has been always will and I love seeing how they inspire each other it's so cool lol.

Jettro, I hope you continue more of this series and I love both classic Lara and survivor Lara. So, either way imo, Lara is OP. By the way, in case you want some lore for the Tomb Raider survivor comics based off the game themselves, I suggest you read Tomb Raider: The Beginning (It's in the EXTRAS menu on the main menu of the game) and it's basically a prelude to the game you're now playing. It's gives perspective to all the characters before they get to the island of Yamatai, Japan. If you're interested. Just to let you know this now is that you can change Lara's outfits at a campsite where you see the box logo next to the axe logo in the weapons menu.

OMG LARAAA So glad you are playing this, I loved this game when I was a kid. The death cinematic are A LOT dw (this is Lara’s first day in the job too). Also, she is the standard, Uncharted came after Tomb Raider. Lara was Created as a Female Indiana Jones but she became so popular she became an icon and that is why we got other series about dude looking for artifacts and such.

Hey Jett, The other 2 games in the series greatly increase in quality overall.. better controls, Graphics, gameplay, story.etc. you can see the bigger budget for them Rise of the Tomb Raider is the 2nd and then Shadow. This is definitely a series to play all 3 of.
