My dad was never around when I was little. He crushed my self esteem and any feeling of adequacy I had during my upbringing. I cannot tell you how much I love to see you be such an incredible dad to your little princess 🥺 I love how you encourage her and have so much patience even when she is just babbling about making volcanoes in 1975 and you talk to her like she truly is your best friend 😭

I’ve noticed that my friends with kids that talk to them like a regular person and ask them questions and are patient with them end up having children who are able to express themselves more clearly, have a conversation like this, and be able to recall things and ask questions about them etc. The baby talk keeps them in that state vs talking to them like a regular person helps them learn quickly and will benefit them in the future cause ppl who baby talk their kids don’t have convos with them where they express like this until they get a bit older. So just that little difference makes a huge difference in their development
