I do cut firewood, and I also have this very same log grapple, except mine is called a Frost Bite Grapple. Made in Indonesia.

Cool, I was unaware the Frostbite was made in Indonesia. I thought it was European.

@@TractorTech You are correct, FrostBite Grapples are made in Estonia.

Just ordered one of these today. I originally was interested in the "Frostbite" grapple but I had a hard time sourcing that one. This looks to be near identical to the frostbite. Cheaper of course sans bronze bushings boasted on the frostbite etc.

Your right the only difference I can tell is no bushings. The Frost bite is made in Indonesia. Enjoy your new grapple!

The Frostbite grapple has a 5 year warranty, you can't even get a marriage with that long a warranty.... Mounts on the Frostbite are made of thicker steel, T at top of hydraulic cylinder is thicker steel, 10 bronze bushings, made in Estonia, our NATO ally, not China like the Titan. www.windyridgecorp.com

Great! This is a real log grapple! Narrower, clamp down the log, then you can pick any log, from any position/angle. I think it's much better than a root grapple, which you need to be perfectly aligned with a log and too many tines that grab other stuff than what you need. Including dirt... Will you make a video to compare your other grapple to this one? Thanks!
@TractorTech

Yes it will be so much better than the 6' root grapple.

Nice video, Roger. That looks like one nice grapple. Definitely will make gripping and transporting logs much easier. Did you get rid of your other grapple? I thought you had another grapple, not sure. Nice editing. Full watch 👀. Say hey to dad and have a fine weekend. 👍

id prefer pallet forks you can carry a ton more weight you dont need a third function valve the cost of the forks is about 25% and you can scoop up 4-5 logs instead of 1-2
@TractorTech
@TractorTech 4 жыл бұрын
The log can also easily fall off of the forks and hurt or kill you.
@kalvindizzle4058

@@TractorTech how would the logs fall off and hurt or kill me? im sitting on a tractor 8 feet away and behind them you carry items low to the ground the only way for them to fall off is forward. i am not picking them up to full height then standing under them hoping for the best haha. i dont try to carry 20ft long logs i cut them to 6-8ft my pallet works go to 4ft in width that is more than enough stability to not have an issue. all of these things apply for a grapple as well you shouldnt be trying to carry 20ft long trees as it can easily destabilize the machine and you also dont want to raise one to full height and stand under it for no reason as hydraulic cylinders can fail and drop logs. when it comes to moving logs a person with forks would easily out work a grapple. like in your video you move 3 logs and have to move them individually if it was me with forks i could have scooped 5 logs moved them parked the tractor and watched you move the other 2 and my pile would still have 2 more logs in it than yours. i get why guys do it im not saying its wrong i was just giving my opinion that if i was moving logs like on the video pallet forks are the way to go.
