The only thing I don't like about this game is when I use natural explorer and I hit anything I run way slower the whole reason I have that on is becuz if I need to escape I'd like to run full speed not just keep getting hit and can't do anything about it

If you don’t look at the animal attacking you you won’t slow down but it sucks bc it don’t work every time since some times you will get attack from the front so that makes you slow down instantly

We couldn't go to new game+ because we had a corrupted save and this update finally fixed that. It saved so much progress and work. If the update was nothing other than that I'm still thankful for it. We were a day away from making a new world entirely.

I just installed this through Gamepass a week ago. I play on Xbox X and I have not encountered a single issue with this game: no crashing, glitching, jankyness. It is playing beautifully. I'm enjoying it so much, I bought it tonight. One quick question. I've seen videos where there is a tab reading Status, next to Mutations, and the creator shows the effects, buffs etc., I do not have such a tab. How can you check your stats or status, like coziness and food buffs?

In the inventory under your armor and stuff there should be some icons, move over to those and that should show the effects and what they do, hope this helps

i just want some QoL updates with the crafting menus on console. Things like maybe pressing left/right as a Page Up/Down or some way to make it easier to go through the items without having to scroll through each item or having to pop up a keyboard to search an item name. or maybe even a favorites list of things that you'd use a ton, like favoriting Mushroom Wall and Mushroom Stairs B so they pop up on the top of the list.

I play on PS4, when I build, I use the building wheel, for me it's faster. But I know what you mean, there should be a way to get faster through the menus, when you want to craft some items.

I am pretty sure the reason for the less food in anthills is because the sheer amount of interactables lagged and crashed peoples games. I do not think it was anything about ants taking food from your base.

Two separate issues - ants were hoarding HUGE amounts of food in their anthills which caused lag (we're also fairly certain that, after a certain point, you'd stop spawning certain items, as you'd hit the cap. We needed regular donut chunks, not fresh, and couldn't find any for nearly a week. Cleared out the anthills, where we found several hundred, and suddenly they started spawning again when we broke donuts). Baby ants would steal shit from your campfires / drying racks.

I meannnn they did say they're reducing the team down and just cruising now in bug fix mode, right? And this patch has a ton of bug fixes including several fairly hot topics like performance, crashes, Broodmother scream, hotkey individual trinkets, pets booping you, pets falling through the world, restore player data game repair, NG+ 100%, NG+ Burg.l quest achievement and lots of other changes and fixes that some people will be delighted with and others haven't experienced once. I never experienced the "certain save games infinitely loading" issue but for anyone that did that fix is an obvious game changer. I get it because we all love this game and want them to keep updating it forever but we gotta temper our expectations a bit I think while we wait for Grounded 2!

Assuming a second Grounded game is even possible, which is a monumental assumption, Obsidian should NOT be even thinking about making a second game/add any new major features until they fix/balance things that are already in their current game. What would even a second Grounded game even matter if they can't get glaring problems preformed in the first installment? I'd prefer multiplayer desync issues to be resolved rather than a second game. I'd prefer if they made up their mind about the game's intended audience, like is this game a souls-like rage game or a kid friendly survival game that can also be enjoyed by adults? Becuase sometimes it's mindlessly easy or absolutely infuriatingly unfair (Newgame+ Wasp base attacks) (Literally any Newgame+ Boss/optional boss) (Elemental explosion attacks). They need to seriously get their shit together with their "Full release" game before even moving on to a second one. And before you or anyone else thinks I'm just shitting on Grounded/Obsidian I'm not. I love this game and only want to see it get better- but it can't unless we the players voice our concerns (without sending death threats/raising torches and pitchforks) to the devs and explain constructively why and what works and doesn't work. I really do want this game to be better, a sequel will do nothing to improve the current game- especially if any future Grounded game has the same formula in regards to balance. (Not a fan of the damage decrease via shields being used, why? A shield almost feels mandatory for some bosses now- and even then they aren't always enough.)

Maybe they could've planned to keep more of the team on just for a couple months to get 1.4 into a more polished state more quickly. Or they could've done a public test! Do you know if they've said why they didn't do one for 1.4?

Since the change where you can perfect parry the broodmother scream dropped, I found that if your able to parry all 3 screams you're able to take it down really fast. Rn I am in NG+2 and I'm able to kill the broodmother in around 30 seconds if I'm able to block the screams along with the smoothy buffs so I have currently been farming and now have my spicy coaltana and my spicy staff maxed at lvl 15 so I recommend everyone to try and farm the broodmother for a bit in case they change it later on. Edit: The trinkey I'm currently using for broodmother is a trinket with final fury, +boss damage, and increased healing I highly recommend a trinket with final fury if you want to blitz the boss but a trinket that has some form of damage up is still good and I can still see someone beating it in under a minute.

Hey thanks for the updated info! I have a couple of unrelated questions, if you'd be so kind to respond with your thought's if possible. Firstly im just finishing first game, killed all bosses and collected everything, for 100% report card, only thing i need is to deal with is the queen's and one sites and wonder's location, but the location is a field station next to the can near the plank cliff. It just won't unlock no matter how much i run around it.. any ideas, or information regarding bug's in the game or? Secondly, as i mentioned i need to deal with the ant queen's but the 3 creature card's i need to peep are them I've only recently realised but I've already poisoned one of them.. does rhis mean essentially i need to go collect and find everything again in ng+, or does the collectables and location's roll over into ng+ and stay 'discovered'? Ta 😊

It also baffles me that some people honest to god think that the game is fine (or even TOO EASY?!) in its current state. Saying that the grind and difficulty are actually generous and entertaining and even coming at me when I disagree and say that “you just want everything handed over to you” or “if you don’t wanna spend the time grinding then just don’t play the game” and dumb stuff like that. All the major stuff in this update, even in its current state is still grindy, unbalanced, unfair, and just not fun.

@@ludenprimefor one, the infused creatures can have unfair mutations that will destroy your character (think sour and mint effects from the staffs). Second, in NG+ you can upgrade your stats as CDDinky said but it’s not enough. Even with level 9 bulky Roly Poly armor it won’t be enough. And NG+ is RNG hell in terms of getting trinkets with good effects to help you survive. And many more things. In NG+ you will need to duplicate so many healing items just to survive and you need so much infused ooze to make fusion crystals to upgrade your weapons past level 9. It’s a lot. Edit: I’d like to point out I’m struggling on NG+1. LITERALLY THE FIRST CYCLE OF NG+ AND I AM STRUGGLING TO BEAT IT.

it forces you early in the NG experience, to think about buffs/modifiers... but the amount of luck required to obtain goodies, well, where is the skill in just repetitive button sessions (which for me, are the most intense and stressful, visually, auditorily, and the duration to take down bosses)

Said it before, will say it again.. Please give us a Frog Boss on the lilly pads after killing too many tadpoles, New Armor set with Double Jump set bonus and Damage Reduction or Sticky Fingers per piece could or could make weapon frog tongue whip which has sticky fingers perk ( have boss disarm when it tongue lashes you like gnats do ) and then they can add armor levels to rest of gear

The Reasons the Elemental Staff Modifiers murder us that hard is simple. They deal Elemental Damage and we have no Resistance like the Bugs have. So upgrading Armor wouldnt even help that much. But we have Mutations. Spicy, Sour and Fresh Defence. Those should give us Resistance to said Element.

I'm sure its pure coincidence that they decided to reduce the number of individual food blobs littering ant hills after the game came out on a console thats not as beefy as the PCs, xbox or playstations. The get more health is them pretty much saying gitgudscrub rather than admit that they've botched the RNG approach to difficulty. The least they could do is look at the different combo's and make the nastier ones much harder to appear in the game until a player has slogged their way into a double digit NG mode.

I gave up on NG+ weeks ago. Grounded is still the best game I ever played. NG+ is far from that. It is, for me anyway, boring and frustrating. And I don't think they can change it to make it more playable. In my opinion it was a mistake and a waste of development resources. Anyway, I never had to pay for NG+, so it is what it is. I'm still playing, just not going to bother with NG+ anymore.

A few things that are essential to this game it is mandatory that we get the ability to upgrade armor and a rebalance of different effects example even in base game a full vampire or health siphoning build barely does anything making the ability to steal Health pointless I've yet to see anybody that has made a successful build with that I could be wrong on that but if anybody has seen one please let me know my point being there are certain effects whether it's through a trinket or mutations even if they're working the way they're intended to their effect is so weak that is completely pointless

I dont think putting lvl 15 armor in the game would be a great idea from the devs. Think about it. Infused bugs are nearly 10 times stronger than normal ones. Why would they make normal bugs useless by making an overpowered armor. I think making a new set with an effect sth like: ,,infusion resistance" that makes infused bug attacks only damage and not activate the bonus effects such as spicy sour etc. (NOT BOSSES, it would be to easy)

The infected broodmother requires a lot of blocking practise and smoothies to beat. It's not required to enter NG+ though if that's all you want, but obviously she won't become easier if you're looking to get the achievements for beating her. What helped me was to use the trinket that reduces explosion damage.

The venom from infused creatures is insane! It totally needs to get nerfed a little. I'm only on ng+1 and I hate when I run into infused creatures with venom they drain my health so fast even with the venom resist mutation on.

so venom is just an automatic health reducer, there’s literally nothing you can do besides heal. Where as poison actually gets resistant from the mutation. Venom is bad, but the sour and the fire buffs can one shot you if you’re in the correct spot.

Well it’s not impossible because a few people have already gotten to ng+10 on woah. It doesn’t summon the infusion on you, the only thing it spawns on you is the venom. I don’t even think the other infusion effects activate from the scream.

That happened to my friend on pc. Apparently there’s a one time recover backpacks immediately, or you could turn on cheats and put keep inventory on

@@tinocabral4201 You can do it as many times as you want but only once per session, so just save and load and you can recover backpacks again. Obviously not better than it just not being an issue but at least it's not the end of the world!
