I love how more than half of the people in this community could pull of scams better than this person. He’s making all the rookie mistakes. A true intellectual would, one, not sell variants that don’t already exist. Two, keep fire bone hot dog in the box when you take the pictures, and then chuck series one Hot Dog in. No, I would never do that, that’s just sickening, but the fact that random people in the community know more about skylander scamming than this dude is both sad and hilarious.

This wasn’t the first time the Skylanders SubReddit had people trying to sell fake Skylanders related stuff. At one point, there were people on there attempting to promote and potentially even sell fake Skylanders shirts.

This reminds me of the time I sort of got scammed. I got a boxed doom stone but upon opening it, you could tell it clearly wasn’t properly boxed. Bits of plastic was coming off the box, the doom stone had their colour degrading and it had visible minor damage. It wasn’t a complete scam because the doom stone worked on the portal 100% fine but damn it sucks that they probably charged extra for an in box skylander, especially a rare one that came wave 4

Many Skylanders fans, including I, were too desperate for a new game and we fell for it.

Actually it makes sense to sell fake skylanders nowadays because when Skylanders series was popular, Activision could have easily noticed and sued the scammer. Activision doesn't care about skylanders as much as we fans do right now, so scammers got the perfect chance.
