What also keeps a lot of people on the poorer side is spending money on unnecessary wants and not on necessary needs.
@rememberstayangry2366Күн бұрын
That is one of the downfalls of the poor. They spend money on vices. I know a couple who struggles to pay their bills every month. One spends $200 a month on cigarettes. The other has a few. beers a day. Right there they could save over $3000 a year.

I know a few people that buy unnecessary things such as phones every year… I mean yeah they’re getting a trade in most of the time but they’re still paying like $300+ or more depending on the phone. Most wealthy people I know don’t even own a Ferrari… they drive a Volvo, Honda and Chevy. People give into temptation a lot. I respect that wealthy people at least discipline themselves in that regard

Have a coworker that complains about not getting paid enough all the time. But he goes to Atlanta every other weekend and goes to clubs that have bottle service and spends $300-$400 per bottle. The same bottle only cost $60 at the liquor store.

The level of inefficiency and corruption in this administration is becoming absurd. Those who are disabled and do not receive the support to which they are legally entitled make me sad. I sincerely thank you, June Renae Matthysse. Imagine making $6k in 20 days with an investment of $1.5k

Wealth is created by being productive- making stuff, products, providing services. That's it, you can't print your way to prosperity, if so Haiti, Zimbabwe would rich. Countries decline when they stop producing, you can't sit on your ass and do nothing and expect to live well, the lion needs to hunt to stay alive. Once you have more takers than makers, you are screwed, there will be a price to pay.

I think I have fallen into a trap working for an American university in the research sector. I grew up in factories, where value creation was very clear, and it was easy to put my efforts into creating value through productivity. I thought I was doing something good for my career by leveling up my education and becoming more of a creative technician, and it felt normal for many years... do great work, get more clients, etc. But then I started getting "absorbed" into other departments, and then promoted, but the leadership made it increasingly difficult to be productive. It doesn't feel real. Like Kafka-esque. Like the people in charge have went from high school, to college, to leadership at a university without ever having to turn a profit anywhere. It's all a shell game of pleasing the ego above you.

I have worked at a university for a two decades, and the longer I am there the less efficient the job becomes. It's very uncomfortable, because at the same time my field moves towards "dream job" territory, but the leadership moves away from building my roster of clients through value creation, and instead towards pleasing the daily whims of leadership. Like, there is zero opportunity for traction and building a portfolio of my skills. I want to pivot to the private sector because I miss the connection to common sense value creation in my community.

It is not the government's role to create jobs, though they can facilitate training courses and the like, it is the companies that actually create jobs. Though a less expensive school or college system might help

The problem with gold is also the problem with currency, it's value only based on what people are willing to give in return. Once space exploration is a real thing, gold will also lose value. The rich & gov't will be the only ones who can explore space and the cycle between "have and have not" will continue..

America dollars were back by gold until the government declared it should not be in circulation anymore. This happened about the same time Nixon negotiated with China for trade with the U.S. Now, years later, you know China flipped the script, and our manufacturers started moving factories overseas. Memory is foul, so correction is not an issue here. Have at it.

Romans 14:17-19 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. 19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. A combination of a trust and purchasing assets could work. The bottom line is you need to create something and then you need to not earn the money yourself. Your trust can make as much money as it wants. Now, you just need to control that trust. But you absolutely have to create something and you can’t directly earn the money. Eventually you can get off of the disability income. But until you’ve built something big enough, that’s how you would do it.
