When a person of any age has a fall, one of the main questions to answer, is whether or not they lost consciousness. After that it’s whether they feel sick or unusually tired. If they do have any of these symptoms you should take them straight to your emergency room - especially if you’re dealing with a child. Our son, at the age of about seven, had a fall from his pony. He seemed fine, but the next day his speech was slurred and we took him immediately to the hospital. It turned out that he had a slight fracture of the skull. He stayed in that night under observation, but came home the next day and has been fine ever since! One thing you both could do for your own confidence in an emergency, is to learn how to do basic CPR - you could save someone’s life in the future!
