I remember watching Worlds last year, really wanting to watch Sebastian Lee do his FIVE pyraminx solves. (This wasn't finals yet) And instead, what I got was someone who averages 14 seconds (no hate) get FOUR/FIVE solves shown. Sebastian who came SECOND, and had a shot to even win the whole thing, got ONE solve shown. I understand that there may have been miscommunication, but surely a person running the stream can point him out? He is a world class solver (whilst not 3x3), should definitely get as much attention as possible in the livestream, as that's what people want to watch if they aren't watching the main event, and if you aren't a cuber, and your watching pyraminx, you want to see the best of the best do it. (This is refering to 4:49)

I think maybe Lazer transitions to playing Tetris more instead of cubing because he went to world championship this year in Las Vegas and proof that he is still alive

@@dylanmiller5012Phillip should give all of the layout things and you should run a season, It would be really cool to see a pro cuber analyze these solves more than, "his f2l is very smooth, some lockups on last layer, still a 5.3" and have more of "he seemed to have a xxcross, doing some pseudo slotting, bam, a nice u zb into a 4.4 by tymon!"

4:13 As a European I disagree. European championship was very stacked and full of world class competitors from Europe, so finals were still entertaining, while at the same time there wasn't confusion about whether a person on Livestream competes or not for the title. Also showing people from abroad on livestream means that some people that can get the title or even title winners won't be showed. The only exception that i could think of are wr/wr2 holders, because other competitors form abroad that are for example 10th seed just aren't interesting for me.

I talked to a couple people about this at euros too, I think there'll forever be a difference between the NAs and Europeans on this There were a ton of fantastic Europeans, I will not deny that whatsoever (I became a huge fan of timofei) but when Carter kucala is on WR pace, the stream has to see it Even when tiger is going to miss the cut or getting last place, he's still in the broadcast. Taylor Swift has nothing to do with football but they still show her at games It's an outside marketability thing, people outside of cubing know max, they know souptimmy, they know Juliette, they know seb and Phillip. They don't know timofei, Magnus, Aiden, even janos or ciaran who are some objectively incredible solvers. Just need to figure out how to balance it all and show off some top tier cubing while appealing to what the average rando wants to see Great comment, love the discussion and hearing other opinions! - Manu
