For Game 4 I was so confused because I assumed Goose applied to base costs not reduced. Elysium helped him sneak under his restriction, lol.
@BryanRoach17 күн бұрын
The key is in the wording (SD definitely could have made it clearer since it can easily confuse people), "X-cost" = base power while "cards that cost" = modded cost.

@@BryanRoachSimpler explanation - Capital C Cost is base, small c cost is current

@@BryanRoachI think they already defined both scenarios with “Cost” vs “cost”. I forgot which was which though.

High evo Abomination goes down in cost based on affliction on the opponents side allowing him to come out for free sometimes used that to get it past your goose

I've been cooking people with Havok since his release and it's been hilarious watching so many people mislead others by labelling him as bad because they couldn't figure out the simple fact that he's designed to be in a deck with a low curve. He goes hard in negative decks too and also works surprisingly well in a move shell.
@ryanpetersen280716 күн бұрын
At 21:30 (game 4), High Evo Abomination gets reduced cost for each enemy card that was reduced in power (red number), so he most likely cost 1 by the end of round 5 (3 cards reduced by Spider woman in middle, 1 reduced power by Red Guardian on The hood, despite being buffed by Washington and finally Elysium.
@D4REPlays16 күн бұрын
@ryanpetersen2807 I'm not sure why I assumed goose blocked on base cost not actual. Either way I realized it way after the fact what happened, lol. Thanks for clarifying!

I love this deck! It feels super solid, but I can be out-powered sometimes in conquest. I've been playing around with Marvel Boy and Elsa in that Cassandra slot, and I'm not sure which I like better. One word of advice, I think it's best to avoid dry playing the Hood - you want to either transform or destroy him with Nico, or change his power with Bast or Agent Venom. It's worth holding him in hand until you can do one of those things, imo.
@D4REPlays16 күн бұрын
@shea42 It was hard for me not to include marvel boy since I enjoy him so much, and after playing it more think he would fit really well. I always toss around on whether to drop him turn 1 or not. Valid point that holding him is specifically better in this deck in the hopes he gets buffed.

I skipped out on havok because a lot of the bigger snap creators swore up and down that he wasn’t good when he was in the spotlight cache, now he’s one of the more prominent cards rn. I noticed this tends to be a thing in this community lol people downplay a card then boom 2-4 weeks later people realize the card has value outside of original expectations
@LoganDash16 күн бұрын
I feel you with this. But if I’ve learned anything playing this game, it’s that I get what I want, not what is told of me to get. I liked havoc and opened for him and Gorr and I got lucky with two keys getting them. If you don’t play to get high ranks, just get cards you want to play with, not what the hyper competitive people “recommend” you to get.
@D4REPlays16 күн бұрын
@teminator365 I lucked into him. I was so disappointed when I pulled him on Gorr's week, but weird how things workout. Guess that's the way snap goes, and tomorrow some other unexpected card will pop up.
@BryanRoach16 күн бұрын
@@teminator365 What's really funny is that most of the bigger creators tend to be dead wrong when it comes to judging the potential of a card. The prime examples being them gassing the hell out of Jean and Phoenix Force before their release, they swore that they'd both be amazing and dominate the meta, and them and their mindless followers were ranting and raving at me when I said they were both gonna be trash. They also overhyped the hell out of Doom 2099 and Rocket&Groot, both of those cards are mid af and have been free wins every time I've played somebody using them. They've also completely whiffed on how good some cards would be since the majority of them are terrible at theorycrafting and just copy their decks from a website. The most recent example of this being Luna Snow, most of them said she was skippable or not good which is wild af since it was obvious that she'd be the best ramp card in the game. The main deck I use her in has a 75% winrate this season and the other two I have her in are only a few percent behind.

Game 3 comment: I advise (and do so myself) a T1 Kitty always going into right-lane unless left is super good fir her (Aunt May's, Shuri's Lab, or such). You basically never lose her right-on-T1 as nobody plays anythiing there that turn except Nebula (which is totally fine) and you won't get trapped by a bad mid location T2 (Knowhere, for example) or a one-off oddball play right lane (Elektra? I know small odds but still better to play Kitty right by that little bit).I'm still watching the rest but I too am a big fan of small soliders and miniature-curve style decks!!

I run a similar deck to this as a bounce deck. It's all built for a Havok turn 4 so the max energy I will ever need is 4. I like the deck but still don't have Red Guardian yet. I think we only have 4 cards that are different between the 2 decks.
