What prompts for her to use the skill that increases your mana cost?

During the snake minions phase where she sends out lot's of snakes, you want to avoid being hit by them. If your summoner or your teammates summoners get hit 3 times collectively by the snakes she will do a big blast that permanently applies that de buff.
