i have 9 builds this year, (which is low for me,) but i’d say you NEED that speed with ball if you’re playing 5s, 3s, or even 2s. because it makes you noticeably slower to the point to where you can easily be clamped by a 94 perimeter, 95 steal, 92 block lockdown.

All my builds are at 63-73 speed with ball and I'm averaging 26 ppg on 60/60 so I don't neeeed it. Also win 76 percent on proam 3s. Maybe you need it but most don't

@@GB32K I think you mentioned the push dribble in the other comment. I have a 7 foot wemby that can cross push dribble faster than a pg runs down the court on defense. The controls are a bit finicky sometimes but I think 2k is filled with casuals who rim run and don't know the controls and think theyre good after a couple games. I've been playing since dreamcast 2k so I know the ins and outs lool. Sucks you have to debunk ppl spreading misinformation.

I watched this video, subscribed liked and then tested this in the builder, and personally, I'm not skilled enough to increase ball handling without increasing speed with the ball. On top of that, my speed and agility are 70 and 65, respectively, and I am a still liability as a guard on defense in the REC. Park is fine. So i ended up with speed with ball 85 and speed with ball 75...Now that I think about it this could save VC if your trying to save VC while grinding... but I wanted all my animations...

It does make a difference. A really big difference. First of all, you need to be 6’3 or below to notice, you also have to be a PG. If you have speed, acceleration, ball handling and speed with all close to 90…you will be able to tell the difference…(which is huge btw) You see, I’m a pg(6’3). with 84 passing, 84 driving lay up, 84 driving dunk, 70 vert, 81 close shot, 78 3pt, 80 mid, and my defense and rebounding is all in the 60’s to 50’s… (I have around 40 strength I think) And my specific play style is basically a traditional scoring point, that can pass and play make mainly out of slashing situations, and can shoot open 3’s and mids…when needed… And it’s very effective, with the way I play(been doing this since 2k19…every year it works wonderfully…) Want to know why I don’t need extreme stats like the meta? Because my build makes up for it with high physical stats (mainly speed and quickness and length) with high ball handling stats as well as decent passing…and a max wings span as well…forgot to mention that. Basically, with this sort of build I’ve become a master at creating space and am always a step ahead…literally when it comes to offense and defense…also much quicker…so I can react in real time…(trust me, it gives you a huge advantage in most if not all situations…) (and you can literally do anything and everything on the floor…) People that come across me often get confused and puzzled because I play so different and why my build literally moves different…this is why lol.(of course you have to be good at the game and be smart(have a high basketball iq)…to play like this, but yeah) Having higher physical stats and a very athletic player that is very skilled makes a huge difference, you just are not using them correctly. And you have to be a “smaller guard build” for it to work and to even be able to get the stats high enough for them to make the difference. A lot of it also has to do with the badges and whether you can get to them to gold and or hall of fame…the badges make the biggest difference in online my career game modes…. My point is, don’t always stick to the meta and find what works for you. Being different and playing different is not a bad thing and can often lead to lots of wins because it throws the opponents off…and can be hard to stop…(because all of the other builds are the same meta builds that are played the same meta way, lol) (It’s also a lot more fun, to do your own thing, and play your own way/game…you’ll find you are much better at the game when you are playing the style that fits you best naturally…because it flows like clear water…)

Nope not at all lol…u move the same speed with 83 accel 29 swb as u would with 83 accel 80 swb…speedbooster doesn’t really do anything regardless the scenario….whether its running up the court, quick bursts, standstill dribbling….it’s really just your speed and accel that makes you run faster with the ball
