Shapez2 is finally here, for me it's even bigger than Palworld actually, from the first 10 minutes of your gameplay I can see it is more direct and friendly now, no splitter and mergers for routing, top down design of stackers and elevated pathways instead of tunnels are huge improvement from 1

I just started playing Shapez a few weeks ago. It was the first factory type game I played. I loved Shapez, so when I learnt a sequel was in the works... The scale is massive in this game, it's so impressive. They improved upon the good aspects and changed the ones that weren't so great, and I love the new dimension available to you. I'm very excited for the public release!

IM SO EXCITED. i LOVED the first game, and i’m so excited for this second one. i haven’t had time to properly play the demo, but i enjoyed the bit i’ve started, i can imagine some very cool and complex use of the layers and building things. i’m really excited to work on optimizing builds into platforms and such. my laptop definitely isn’t powerful enough to properly run it with great graphics, but it’ll be plenty good enough to play :))

The first Shapez had the issue, to me, that it just kind of got very repetitive after a while, you were basically just building the same machines over and over and there wasn't much actual challenge, since there were very few limitations. Add to that the actual presentation was very Spartan, so it just wasn't very fun to look at your super-complex machines after a while. This new game seems to address a lot of those problems: adding multiple levels is a good way to increase complexity right away, but I actually think the whole space platforms thing is a bigger deal for me; it seems like the main idea now will be to have individual little factories in various areas, then connect them with lots of belts... and later on, even trains and stuff! Gives mid-game Factorio vibes in that sense, which is definitely a positive. And of course the new visuals are quite nice, watching all those machines cutting and moving and copying is going to be mesmerizing...

Shapez1 after unclocking blueprint is boring, once you can find all the corners of all shapes you can just build MEMs with no constraints

Well I'm totally stoked for this game, but they had me at "Shapez 2". One tip I learned from KoS: Launchers are faster than belts.

I have seen multiple people playing this game today, and everyone over complicates the blueprint shape! Just cut the cutter shape in half and merge it with a half circle!

Thing to note is as long as it's not backing up your production having your final product line being sushi is fine. Usually you don't want to mix, but it's all going down the hole anyway.

your bent stacker logic is flawed, it's taking up extra belt space so you might as well use straight ones to look tidier. Technically the bent ones are 33% less efficient if you consider the extra space used for the belt. (20/s on 1 square, 30/s on 2 squares). The straight ones can be merged on to the same belt, saving space.
