The door under the stairs in the back of that closet is a VERY questionable space. Why was it carpeted on every surface? The only reason that comes to my mind would be to contain sound. To make that space more soundproof, to keep the sound in. A place to keep someone or something that is noisy or could be heard. This is VERY CREEPY and needs to be looked into further.

I think the timeline is off a bit. The kitchen and bathroom design and appliances are more like 2005-2015 and the laptop looks more along the same age. Plus if it hasn’t been inhabited in 20 years or more, I would think it’d have a little more of an unkempt appearance. Plus the Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005.

The "junk" left by the doctor could be just that to him. The more affluent you are the more expensive your junk becomes. I worked with a crew of contractors building a 20 million dollar home for a customer. When he moved in he was throwing away everything he no longer used including a Vespa, scuba tanks, wetsuits and equipment as well as all sorts of other sporting goods and furniture. Needless to say you've never seen a happier bunch of dumpster divers as we were then 😂😂😂
