you should see if you could find the current land owner and contact them, seriously a lot of this stuff needs to be taken and preserved. Lots is very important history in this house. I’ve done it myself here in canada, was able to pull thousands of 1800 medical items from the old London Hospital For the mentally insane in london Ontario
@519Dakota Жыл бұрын
@@andrewcollins8774 Often with these old houses I find the owner dies and may not have any close/extended family to leave the property to/give. A lot of the homes these guys explore are from very very old families that have either dissolved overtime or have moved countries ect, sad the government doesn’t step in to do public liquidations/ auctions. Also plenty that could be re used and repurposed for the needy.

The throttle is for model trains. The woman in the photos upstairs (man with eye patch, etc.) is Golda Meir, who was prime minister of Israel in 1969. The man with the eye patch was Golda Meir's Minister of Defense, Moshe Dayan. Found the exact photo online. Meeting with soldiers on the Golan Heights after the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Interesting there was a photo of the same image in the house.

4:34 Before you find the mic - there was a card that said John Richardson was a nominee for special effects for the film WILLOW. It says this on IMDB "John Richardson was born on June 10, 1946 in Brentford, Middlesex, England, UK. He is a production manager, known for Aliens (1986), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)." Those photos were possible behind the scenes production stills they take for costume consistency.

I think the framed document is from The Oxford Parliament, also known as the Third Exclusion Parliament, was an English Parliament assembled in the city of Oxford for one week from 21 March 1681 until 28 March 1681 during the reign of Charles II of England. I only noticed the name Williams....Succeeding the Exclusion Bill Parliament, this was the fifth and last parliament of the King's reign. Both Houses of Parliament met and the King delivered a speech to them on the first day. The Speaker was William Williams, who had been the Speaker in the previous Parliament. He was elected unanimously and delivered a speech on 22 March. The Oxford Parliament was dismissed after another Exclusion Bill was presented with popular support. Charles dissolved it after securing the necessary funds from King Louis XIV of France.

The everay High-frequency ('violet ray') apparatus, cased, by Uvral, England. Powered by mains electricity supply, this set was used to apply high frequency electrical sparks to the body using the glass vacuum electrodes. Known as violet ray treatment, the purple, red, or blue electric sparks were believed to relieve aches and pains in the muscles, internal organs and the nerves (rheumatism) by massaging the surface of the skin with the electrode. The glass comb shaped electrode was used to stimulate hair growth on the scalp as a cure for baldness. The circular shaped electrode was used to massage the surface of the skin where there was a pain, such as the throat or ankle. It could also be used for other medical complaints. This was a highly popular home treatment in the first half of the twentieth century and violet ray sets regularly turn up in the attics of elderly people. Although the electrodes certainly produced a tingling sensation on the skin, these sets were of dubious medical worth. This set was made by a company called Urval.
