I think the reason they made the ai not get stunned by the m1s was because of then 77 rings challenge it was extremely easy to cheese by m1 the npcs in a large group and the running in circles around them (which isn't okay since it's supposed to be the "hardest" dungeon in the game) instead of fixing this specifically for the 77 rings trial by giving some npcs hyperarmor like they did for the brute npcs they just gave all npcs superarmor for m1s

It's their faulty coding actually, the way they did it is probably this: - Player pressed F - Game checks if the player is stunned or is in a move - If sees that you are stunned, that request is ignored completely until you press it again and it repeats. This is a big "oopsies" that they did not foresee and it can be fixed easily.

How decision to make all programming alone is strange? Djudjo have explained it multiple times that all programmers make different codes and if he had to work with other programmers then the main code would be messy. This just already happened once at the SBR update. Also even if they took half a year to update, it was a good update that brings something other than just a stand rework unlike YBA. The only con there is just a discord community? I guess it's not that critical.

Riu mod here Bounty idea is iffy and we’ve had multiple complaints about it, and some polls to make sure people don’t run and hide a ton The eclipse clown npc WAS made in light of something (I’m sorta new and don’t know much of the whole situation) Stun is annoying and decreases the longer your in combat Moves also tend to suck, if the move caps a complaint amongst some people it will come back with any move able to be bound in the future Most things have issues right now but as said, updates a new thing for a ton of people and a intro to riu for many others people 2 m1’s are true, after that it isn’t Weapons are also true on the 2nd m1 (minus guns and maybe the axe cause we all hate the axe for being useless) If anything else comes up you can ask me anything!

Ive got to reccomend a really well made game that not many know about, its called vh3 (vampire hunters 3) and i think you should take some time to review it or give it a rating. its basically a murder mystery type game where all the roles of everyone have a part into the gameplay as well! Its put well together very well and the game has amazing updates, overall id love for you to check out this game as it is one of my favorites out there.

I think the input delay probably comes from unoptimized coding. Something that beginner devs will do is use a ton of "if" statements and this can cause an unnecessary amount checks associated with every action. Fun fact: they're actually adding input buffers to the game to make combat feel smoother and combos feel better. I don't know if this is because of your video, but the rework sneak peaks look SERIOUSLY promising. As someone who genuinely enjoys the game for it's beautiful setting, great models, and more engaging storyline- I'm excited to see where the combat is heading. Tusk Act 4 is my current stand of choice, but something that's been bothering me is that it's serious lacking in the combos department. Looking at the sneak peaks, it's looking like that's about to change.

For as much as eclipse bashed this game this video was very fair. I consider myself someone who really likes riu and can overlook it's flaws because they usually end up fixed. Getting money in Phantom blood is a pain for the early quests? Well now you have chests that give loot you can sell. Fixes like that. And the stuff he brings up is a good point, the dashing off ragdoll in this game is pretty awful and I too found myself sometimes just standing there even though I'm clearly pressing B COME ON GAME. Only thing I really disagree with is the combat loop being unfun. I find it way more fun than any of the other jojo/fighting games. But that's more of a preference I guess. I can see why it could be awkward for someone who's used to other systems though. And oh my God yes that bounty quest was bullshit. I was doing the story on an alt to get an accurate experience and that part sucked. You either cheese it with a friend or hope for mercy from whoever you're hunting, no other real choice. Still, every update this game gets I feel it just gets better and better and all the updates feel very meaningful and thought out so I'm contempt with accepting the games flaws and hoping they'll be fixed later down the line, as they often are

i will try to summon up what the update states in specific to anyone who cares but cant see it additions some info about new map and cinematics, info on bounty system. som daily missions. notoriety system. a bruno outfit and a boss outfit. some diffrent guns you can get from the daily missions. the "rage" bar, a amplifying mechanic that only works on black sabbath. black sabbath and some skins for it. info on the world map. quest and redeem codes tab and som info on them. Other Additions rewords on damage indicators, ui and blocking. Remodeled stands SF, SC, WS and GE. Changes loot rewards go directly to inventory instead of drop. reward loot is unique to each player. increased weapon m1 DMG/SPD. new stats of some outfits. improved evade detection on tp dashes. running backwards is slower. giorno outfit only though daily missions. some Cooldowns to trading and "various other balance changes" (whatever the hell that means) The update log ends with some new skins added (totally original update content) that we dont care about and a code ( GW_UPDATE ) that gives some rewards (idk) I tried to make this as short as possible, i hope that eclipse or someone else down here found it usefull (sorry for the misspelling).

You could just do this for bounty hunting quests Step 1. Find player walk up to them. Step 2. Open chat. Step 3. Type "Hey can I please kill for quest." If they accept kill them if not say I will give saints left arm (This is a scam do not give them a saints arm) Step 4. You are done with this quest good job

The bounty system could’ve worked really well if it was exclusive to max level players and couldn’t pit you against anybody of a higher or lower level than yours. Unfortunately, it’s like there’s a curse that prevents games from establishing a bounty system correctly(looking at you Deepwoken).

It reminds me of when Cyberpunk 2077 first released, the game looked amazing but it seemed like that's all the developers cared about doing and the actual game was a buggy mess that was straight up unplayable until recently.

Random statement, but I'm pretty sure the reason AI doesn't take stun in RIU or does not take it the way players do is because players handle the stun on their own client. NPCs, of course, do not have their own clients, and to avoid lag the loop in which the server detects NPC stun is probably slower than the one for players.

@@Ammiad My guy, the client READS values replicated from the servers, whatever value the client WRITES wont affect anything as values that don't come from the :FireClient aren't going to be handled. probably a table of values on the client, and whenever a status changes, a remote event fires and the client updates the values to correspond with the server, which a RunService scheduled loop uses to handle the player's WalkSpeed and JumpPower accordingly. Also, don't be scrolling down the commend section to say bs if you don't even know your stuff right.

One thing I fucking HATE about this update is that they decided to remove a shit ton of keybinds for the game. They never specified why, they just did. And im not used to the lack of keybinds man 💀 Also I ended up losing respect for the dev after he said that at the start IMAO

Good video. About AI and M1s... 3 m1s are true, 4th isnt. 2 m1s are true into fast moves, 3 arent. As soon as a NPC can do anything they will do it so that's why it feels so bad to fight them, as soon as they're not stunned they will immediately start attacking. Take care! PS: Bounty quest is really bad unfortunately and there should be something after the last m1 indeed, like ragdoll

Most this video's comments are people making up fake hate stories or insults to the RIU devs when they like his criticism and a few of us in the discord found the video valid so if he makes a DDOS it'd probably be just for the fanboys and not the RIU team (not a lot of us like glazers)

I hope I don't end up on DDOS for this But. No matter how out of earth and true the m1's feel, it's only the first two which are true, which is still definitely an issue if it comes to balance and the game feeling clunky.
