Ya know Vinny, there was a time, back in the day when "Scumbaggery" was held accountable for shorting rolls, the banks actually would withdraw the shortage from the individuals account and sometime even closing their accounts for knowingly shorting rolls of coin, I truly feel your frustration, but at least you did get a couple of cool finds, from that westpoint to that AWESOME Edith dye class, I have only found 1 of those and I only found it was because of you, I never knew about them until I seen it on your channel, thank you my friend and I hope you find a gazillion more. 😉👍

They still write the account numbers on the rolls. They've stopped because I tend to buy them all. If they send them to the feds, they count them & report back to the bank if someone shorted rolls. Unfortunately, it doesn't get to that point now.

I think it was you I told last year I brought half dollar rolls to the bank and they opened each before crediting my account and put them on a tray that measured each stack. After that I could never understand how you get screwed the way you do but...I see it in your videos.

It's too bad that some banks don't count/weigh hand rolled coins before selling them to customers. I remember back in the day that I had to put my info on the roll before it was accepted. Too bad that this practice isn't used anymore as this would greatly discourage shady people like the one that rolled those quarters.

@@JackalopeHerdmaster actually, this bank used to mark the rolls with account numbers. When the feds picked up the rolls, they would let the bank know which account was light by those numbers on the roll. I've been buying their customer rolls for so long now, I think they stopped?

A bank gave me a "$1000" box of $2 coins I asked for. (Canada) And I open the box in front of the teller, right.... one roll was half gone, another one was missing at least 7 or 8. Then a dozen more rolls were obviously short. The whole box had to be missing like $50 MINIMUM. I told them "yeah... I can't accept this. These need to be dumped, counted, and re-rolled because whoever deposited this is a total scammer."

@DWCNC Yeah, I never take boxes of $2s out of the bank anymore. Too many counterfeits and short rolls. I hunt them inside the bank, so if there's any issues, it's on camera and I don't get left hanging with counterfeits. Edit: no it wasn't "sealed" just a piece of generic tape. Very typical for boxes here.

I tend to have great luck with this bank and their customer wrapped rolls. Unfortunately, scumbaggery is part of the game. I've found some great varieties this year, from the same bank.
