I think that's partially right. The sunk cost fallacy is that people will feel the need to continue with a poor investment, even if the cost of continuing outweights the benefit, just because they have already put some time/money/effort into it. In the case of NCAA football, say maybe it was a better decision not to put any points into a player at all, but you did, for 5 straight weeks. After 5 weeks it still looks like you won't get the player, but you continue to pour points in because you feel like "well I already put 5 weeks of points into this guy, so I might as well continue." The smarter decision would be to cut your losses ASAP, let the points you already sacrificed go and just put what you have left into attainable players, but people get too attached to bad investments and go down with the ship. Those people who continue to pour points into this unattainable player would then not get him, nor would they get the other attainable players. If you cut your losses after 5 weeks, at least you can get the latter instead of nothing.

you should try formation subs and put ham in more optimal possession catch opportunities. like put ham at slot when they have their safties in close or wide set. he could run a post, seam, or even curl route depending on what the look is. you can take advantage of his speed a little easier and give the QB easier passes to throw.
