I wouldn’t expect a rookie WR to be a major contributor in the first year. It will be Hollywood Brown, Justin Watson, and Mecole Hardman carrying the load through the first 6 games, then Rashee Rice will be welcomed back and inserted into the rotation. Expect the Chiefs to keep 6 WR on the 53, with 1 of them being inactive on game day. The real toss up will be who that 6th WR will be, Toney? Ross? Nikko? I expect training camp to be enlightening.

Don’t know why there is position-based salary system in NFL. Especially for whole lot of WRs. It should be contribution based. Then a TE like Travis will be at 30-35m, before 90% of WRs at that level.

Let these teams keep paying their QBs big money. That way they don't have that much money left for the salary cap which means they wont be able to go after elite players that could help their teams. And keep in mind, they haven't even won a SB yet. Out of all those $50 mill QBs only three has made it to the SB and they all lost. (Burrows, Hurts and Goff). Lamar, Dak, Lawrence, or Herbert haven't even made it to one yet.

Justyn Ross always tears it up in camp and then gets hurt most of the season just like Jody Fortson. Both players are good for 10-20 plays a season. Time to move on for players that are available.
