Writer's block is annoying, but whatever you do, do NOT get the carefree reward trait. It will prevent the tense buff from writer's block, BUT you still cannot continue writing if you get writer's block. Then you won't know when writer's block is gone. The key is to not write all of the time. You need to do inspiring things. View artwork, take thoughtful showers, cloudgaze, stargaze, etc. This resolves the writer's block and might even prevent it.

@@thisisnotthechannelyourelo407 Well the problem is Carefree only ignores Tense moodlets from not having fun (mostly) and doesn't actually stop them... so yeah. It was doomed to be that way. I didn't consider it either so this is definitely a good tip to have. The more they do things to the game, the less useful Carefree Reward trait is (because it also doesn't affect fear or uncomfortable if I'm not mistaken.) I think they retooled the oldest Reward traits or else created two tiers of them, if I'm not mistaken, because they added in more expensive versions of the never sleepy one, for example. They need to go back and buff up the Carefree one or else add in a new trait that is way beefier, stops tense and fear outright and simply costs more IMHO.

You probably won't see this, but the way I've been able to make the residential rental work for tiny town is build the shell of a house (with stairs & a second floor if that is what I want to do for that character) but not furnish it or put up wallpaper or flooring. I still start my residents with zero money in an empty shell with a pee bush, a sleeping bag, & a cooler. It is still really fun (actually more fun) to work on furnishing the house without the hassle of how weird residential rentals get when you build. I've done 6 out of 7 residents of tiny town now. It has worked like a charm!

@@nskyegazer It’s definitely a trade-off. There are pros and cons to both. It makes it more fun to play, especially with the characters that take forever to earn money, because you can focus on actually adding a lot more furniture, clutter, and use/display the fun stuff they collect along the way. They still start with an empty shell. I don’t even let them sleep inside until they earn enough money to buy a light.

I think for the rest of the rental units, just don't remove the grass flooring. It's annoying to have to leave it there but you could also just change some of it to a patio area and keeping the faux grass might keep you from having as many bugs since Pablo and Krystoff didn't experience nearly as many when you built on their lots. Then you won't have to edit the rental units from build mode or move your Sims in and out of their homes constantly, especially since the room mate system could be even more buggy and annoying (since you can't easily control if they get mad at you and leave on their own plus it's harder to tell when they have left.)

I think it's time for baby Kyra to move in with Grandpa Semaj and Grandma Nalani. I think that's why "The Property Owner" keeps visiting...they're just suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome and baby Kyra would be just what the doctor ordered!

-To get inspired, you can also browse art on the web (in case it is too rainy/snowy to cloud gaze). -In my community space, I have a nectar basement. I had started with my gardening Sim, so I have a lot of produce to make nectar with. Every Tiny Town Sim contributes some nectar to the basement, which can be sold by the next Sim when they are starting off. It’s also good supplemental income, along with selling the crops in the community greenhouse. -Maybe Pablo can get a drone and record himself doing horse training. (“Begin Stream”-NOT the “Fame” option). Then he can transfer the video to a media table, edit it, and upload it for Simoleons. He will get daily royalties from each video-just like with the writing.

You can convince the Group Leader to step down if your friendship is high enough.

Maybe practice writing in a journal at home until your writing skill is high so that you can write better books (worth more royalties) when you go to the library to write books.

My favorite James quote that he says all the time, and needs to be in a Sims movie is "Hello?? Why are you in my house?"

you should set one of the club activities to cooking so each time you have a club meeting, they cook food for you...

It always makes me laugh that James prioritises the outside of the house and expanding over the essentials like food and hygiene 😂 I get mad but I’m laughing at the same time 😂 I wouldn’t change James at all 😅 I really wondered why Krystoff didn’t build a communal building with his riches 🤔

You need to get her the freelancer writer career and stack that with self publishing. Take a job, write whatever book it wants and before you turn it in pull it out of their inventory onto a table or whatever. Choose make a copy. Submit the COPY for your freelance gig and then publish the original at the mailbox. You have to do it in that order because you can’t publish copies via the mailbox. This increases the earnings from writing significantly and it will help with the ambitious trait.

If you get writer's block again, you could buy a yoga mat and do a yoga routine of brain boosting. It will help get rid of the tense moodlet and make your Sim be inspired for at least 8 sim hours!

26:43 James, an Australian, doing a stereotypical Australian accent. I never knew I needed this.

20:50 Pablo really said "kristoff gets 2 houses for him and his kid? Well, time to get another house for my new kid and the horse too 😊" I say we add the kid as an option on the wheel but I'm not sure there will be space.

Hahahaha!! James, at 11:42 you selected "Discuss Expanding The Family" while chatting with Pablo, and that trigger the action for him to go and adopt a baby into his household! Oh dear... lol! 😂😂😂

I think it would be very Grandpa coded for Semaj(Gramps) to take in the grandkids. Maybe Kyra lives with Semaj until until Pablo is making enough to support a child.

To be fair, this is probably the most accurate portrayal of being a writer I’ve seen 😂 Constantly one step ahead of complete creative fallout.
