I think any runner has improved by a lot in this time, but Couri is the one who benefited the most. I came into speedrunning through Couri's 6th run or smth like that and watched every single stream of the entire challenge. The impact of the challenge is insane. He doesn`t scroll that much anymore, his movement improved by a stupid lot, it's just nuts.

Dude I'm watching it for the 2nd time and I just can't get over how well executed this run is. There's no divine travel, no fastion, no ocean exposed stronghold, no hundred-block blind, nor god blaze rates. It's still a good seed, but man it's played insanely well

See, this is the thing, there is so much that separates the greatest speedruns from a great speedrun. A great speedruns always takes lesser chances, and uses safer strats, compared to one of the best speedruns, which go as far as to attempt a zero cycle edit: also, the greatest runs have some monstrous chances and shit, often runs are ruined because of eyes in the portal

Just for some advice, if ur on low hearts while waiting for the portal to appear and u accidently look at an enderman, don't panic and just stay in the fountain because even if u die, u will still go through the portal as long as ur in the fountain.

Only if you die less than 1.5 seconds before the portal appears, which is not good to take a risk on plus it wasn’t that close to the time

I think this is a best demonstrating guide for Minecraft speedrunning! That's because there are many modern strategies which are necessary for a speedrun. Also most of the RNG like piglin trades, End portal (which is an 1 eye), dragon perch time ..etc, are very close to normal, and no divine, no ocean exposed as well. Its a great seed still, but Couriway just done it in the best way!

well played couriway. there’s something about mapless treasure runs that make it so satisfying (dunno if that’s the right word) I’m now going to do rsg speedrun s, because before I play with mods like pogloot and icarus, combined with fsg and ssg, because I don’t have that much time on my hands (I used to have up to half an hour to play mc because of school). Now that it’s summer break I have way more time to speedrun. I’ve been watching you since you got your 14 min world record, and since then I’ve learnt A TON of stuff about speedrunning from you, so thank you. Now I can put all of that into actual runs. Your 1000 no reset speedruns (congrats on that, one of, if not the best accomplishment in MCSR) really gave me motivation, as I can see how many seeds can actually be played to get a pretty good time. My Pb from like 8 months ago is a 25 minute run, and my goal is sub 20. I will just end this comment here. Once again, thank you for everything you have done for the speedrun community, and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Congrats on your second fastest time!

Just a tip: Dont sprint after throwing a pearl bec you will get more starvation if you do. The pearl will teleport you to the same location in anyways so there is no need to sprint. 9:28
