First of all, I think that there might still be people confused in how Sakiko figured out Mutsumi's DID, so let me say this, even if it's technically obvious enough: Mortis has been calling Sakiko "Sakiko-chan", but Mutsumi usually calls Sakiko just "Saki". You can find Mutsumi's dialogue in ep 1 flashback when she called Saki to watch Morfornica. Talking about honorifics, someone in the Chinese community actually already deciphered the differences way before this episode, as if you dial back to MyGO ep 8, there was a moment where Sakiko was checking Mutsumi's message before seeing Soyo, and there she was called "Sakiko-chan", meaning at during the night Soyo kneeled, it was actually Mortis who saw everything. Gosh, literally every episode there are more and more building up and so much to talk about. One thing I'd say for sure is that every scene and dialogue has so many hidden details that'd be brought back later on, so you really have to pay attention in this series and sometimes even have to watch multiple times to truly understand it. Now where do I start... (rub hands) I think the after-credit scene wasn't real, but rather either Mortis imagined it or Ave Mujica actually called for a hiatus but Mortis exaggerated it in her head. This is because Uika did mention that it wouldn't rain on the performance day, yet we saw that it was raining. A lot of people have mentioned that there's a contradiction within Mortis, which is that while Mortis hates Sakiko, she also insists in keeping Ave Mujica, something Sakiko created. My theory is as such: Mortis claimed that Mutsumi loves the band, but we're never given a reason why, not obviously enough anyway. I'd say that Mutsumi likes Ave Mujica because that's currently the only environment which allows her to perform with her guitar. The one that she doesn't need, is Sakiko. We could see that in EP3 of Ave Mujica, where during Mutsumi's mind play, she gave a good comment to every member of Crychic, yet when it came to Sakiko, she became silent. She wants a band, but not with Sakiko. We can also see that in this episode. When Nyamu suggested to remove Sakiko from Ave Mujica, Mortis literally had no reaction, yet when Nyamu said to remove Mutsumi/Mortis instead, or disbanding, she then became upset. I'm also theorising that Mortis might just be pretending to not know how to play the guitar, especially since when she declared her inadequacy, she was still pretty much using the "acting" tone. The reason may just be to upset Sakiko even further. She might've even planned the whole act with the other members to make it look like "no one cares about Ave Mujica" in front of Sakiko, so to make Sakiko give up her dreams. Of course, I'm not a DID expert as well, but I'd believe that people can create a different personality in different means. It can be imitation on other people or an ideal image of oneself from within. At least with Mortis's case, it's pretty obvious that her personality was created via mimicry. Except for that one line about hating Sakiko being truthful, all her other lines and mannerism in this episode were pretty much a copy of someone else. Right now, it seems that past Sakiko and Soyo are her biggest influences. We can see that she picked up Soyo's expressions during the last scene at the hotel, and then the cross gesture with index fingers ("it's not good for her health") actually also came from Soyo, who did the same gesture while they were at the karaoke as Crychic. We can also see that she's picking up a bit of Nyamu's habits, such as how she was waving at the camera, which while it's a normal thing to do on tv, in Ave Mujica we know that so far only Nyamu was doing that. It's also theorised that when Mortis told Uika that "You're the only person left that Sakiko has, please take care of her", the same line might've come from Sakiko's mom towards Mutsumi before the mom passed away, which would also explain why Mutsumi insisted so much in taking care of Sakiko. I think that's about it about Mutsumi/Mortis, I might come back to this comment later on to add more. Now quickly onto the other members. There's Umiri, who most people think she cares the least for the band, but I think it's the opposite. We can see that Umiri is getting so busy that she could only take notes from Taki directly. If she saw Ave Mujica as just another band to help, I don't think she'd be willing to take over the position of a manager. Not to mention, Mortis also pointed out that Umiri wished to care about Ave Mujica. And at that moment, Umiri was crossing her arms, which was a gesture of self-protection, and even sighed. And then there's Uika. She still isn't doing a lot this episode, but we can still pick up hints of her personality. For example, we now know that she'd mimic others to get close to Sakiko. This was already theorised an episode earlier, when Uika asked Sakiko if she wanted donuts. The weird part was that we know Uika never liked donuts, as back in MyGO ep4, Mana offered some and Uika refused. So basically she was simply copying Mana's kind gestures to comfort Sakiko, especially with how she cut the donuts in half, just like Mana. This mannerism was made a lot more obvious in this episode, when Uika did the exact same cross gesture as Mortis while uttering the same line. Furthermore, it's also possible that Uika was watching everything behind the scene. Again, we could see that last episode when she hid to listen even though Sakiko told her to return home first, and this episode as well. At the part where she rushed over to the pier after the confrontation between Sakiko and Mortis, Uika practically appeared almost immediately after Mortis left. If she was there to retrieve both members, she would've been holding three umbrellas. However, we only saw her with two, meaning she knew that Mortis would be leaving first, or at least, she saw that Mortis left first before attempting to pick up umbrellas and run to Sakiko. At the end, let me just say, that scream was incredible. I'd almost say "music to my ears" but that'd be too weird. Btw, if you use Twitter, you should definitely follow "Ave Mujica Official EN". Whoever's managing that account loves to meme about the anime so much.

I do genuinely think she doesn’t know how to play guitar, she wants to keep the band alive, not destroy it out of spite because she dislikes Sakiko. She doesn’t want to ruin the band Mutsumi has given her the “goal” of protecting and keeping alive. But since she’s kind of like a child, a newly formed kind of alter with no prior experience to playing guitar, it makes sense she doesn’t know how. Mortis dislikes Sakiko on a personal level but wont let that get in the way of protecting something dear to Mutsumi

@@cestlati I think that it's acting mainly because Mortis had a lot of chances to say that she didn't know the guitar, instead of waiting until the day before. There's a feeling that she's deliberately creating a scene. But of course, her current actions as genuine also makes sense because she does act very childlike, so it could be the child's way of "fake it until it's impossible", and since she couldn't avoid the practice session, she had to tell the truth.

I can read Chinese, and in the Chinese community, which is probably where most of the MyGO fan base is, people are literally cooking up theories every single day and every hour, and I always think it's a shame that none of the western viewers can get a hold of those discussions, so I'm just sharing the most that I can while staying within topic, so you can also speculate whatever potential events coming up.

Mortis is not a normal creepy doll, she is copy everything Mutsumi saw from the past, in this episode we have 6:06: "Starting now, we're a band. We will play music together...", same line with MyGO season, Episode 3 when creating the band in Tsugu's Coffee 7:51: fingers X cross, same with MyGO episode 3, when CRYCHIC going to Karaoke and Soyo did that X cross 11:18: Soyo pose from MyGO character introduction card from Bushiroad staff on Bandori discord: "the seiyuu interviews did say ep 4 was the turning point and no one gonna talk about ep 3 anymore" and yes, this one got a point. Ave Mujica disbanded... (and yea i agree, this is not normal music band from Bandori with famous quote kirakiradokidoki anymore, it's a seriously (Psychological) horror anime)

a parallel between MyGo and Avemuji i can see now is how mygo's story virtually ended at ep10 with the beginning of the band and the last 3 episodes were an epilogue, but AveMuji's first 3 episodes are its prologue and the real serie is starting right now with the end of the band even in structure avemuji is a mirror of mygo and tomori's journey

Ave Mujica Episode 4 in the scene where Nyamu is talking to her mom on the phone is actually a reference to Nyamu's seiyuu and the drummer for the real-life Ave Mujica the lovely Yonezawa Akane she came from Tottori Prefecture and she's pretty much close to her mom, in fact, she mentioned in a Tweet about a year ago that when she was young it was her mom who encouraged her to play the drums and Akane-chan's love for drumming is what made her decided to move to Tokyo and there are even Tweets when she mentions that she misses her mom and wanted to come home to Tottori to see her mom. Anyways the dialect that Nyamu and her mom are speaking is the Kumamoto dialect and it's actually different from the dialect of Nyamu's seiyuu Akane-chan which is the Inshū dialect from Tottori Prefecture she just happened to know how to speak both dialects and she also speaks in English.

Current medical opinion is that alters aren't really formed or split as much as they are a result of the core personality failing to integrate them into a whole, in most cases as a way to cope with trauma. Alters always exist but not necessarily as separate identities-hence why Mortis talks about playing with Mutsumi and chatting with her before as DID usually manifests at an early age, but doesn't really come into play until trauma. An alter usually fulfills a specific role that the core can't. In the case of Mutsumi, Mortis is now there to protect Mutsumi from what she can't do and what causes her distress and to fulfill the expectations within the band Mutsumi can't fulfill. Mutsumi might not be Mortis, but Mortis is still Mutsumi in a way, as all alters reflect an aspect of the core personality. Also yes Uika is sus.

This was the longest week of my life... (so far) But my goodness, was it worth the wait. I'm just going to come out and say it: I love Mortis. I don't know if she's my favorite character in the franchise (that's an awfully high bar to clear), but she's definitely my favorite in this group right now. At first I thought she was just throwing Sakiko's words back into her face as a way to twist the knife, but no, she's pretty much always falling back on the words and expressions of others to try and convey herself. And I respect that! I've done more than my share of that myself! And the thing with the guitar was just my favorite kind of twist: the kind that it didn't occur to me to consider in advance, but that seems obvious once it's pointed out. Utterly delightful. (Shout out to Umiri and Taki being the most stable and functional couple)

If you think about that Sakiko was encountering with that Mutsumi-Mortis 13 character complex from Ep.3, we saw they came one by one but Sakiko not, 13 characters inside single entity she knew as Mutsumi and Mutsumi deliberately integrate all the narrative voices into a single identity "Mortis" to crush Sakiko, it's weird if Sakiko could really withstand from that mental force.

I think Uika and Mutsumi are literally the same type, while Uika still obfuscate her stuffs for good, Mutsumi get all the things exposed. In the car scene you can see the weird harmony of those two, going for something really secretly under the table, and for me Mortis in current timeline is totally full fledged drama, not actual mental disorder at all, she is using the people manipulation value to the extreme, pick up everyone's nuances for the move, for most of the people it's out of control but for me it's controlled demolition to its best, even leading Nyamu into not being purely destructive state facing the "disbandment" consequences after the "face off" moves.

老實說，製作團隊跟公司應該也知道這樣的劇情會導致角色爭議過大，失去人氣(在日本，商品的售價也是Nyamu價格最低) 畢竟結局還是要成為手遊中的樂團，不知道是編劇能力不佳還是藏了更大的秘密在後面，否則很難想象為何要讓Nyamu如此令人討厭，導致在Ave Mujica中人氣過低(偏偏現實的live，鼓手表現真的很厲害)
