I really loved your take on some of these songs! One of the messages in this story being repeated over and over again is the line "The world is cruel, and yet so beautiful" and the music portrays this so well man. Been listening to this soundtrack for over 10 years now and they still hit just as hard as they did day 1 for me. I really recommend checking the show out, it's a must watch for anyone in my opinion. Even if you're not an "anime fan" the themes, messages and emotional beats are really universal. Just beware of spoilers, it has a huge focus on the mysteries it presents.

This is just 35 minutes of pure frisson. I've never had a suite of music sustain that for so long; it's just such ear candy. Hiroyuki Sawano is an absolute master of his craft.

One of the gods of anime symphony Hiroyuki Sawano, he is on the piano here. For Attack on Titan he went with a horror/suspense kind of flavor for the piano work. If you want to hear more anime symphony like Sawano's I can point to Shiro Sagisu's work on Neon Genesis Evangelion and BLEACH. One more anime symphony god from the top of my head is Yoshihisa Hirano who does Death Note and Hunter X Hunter.

These songs are so insanely good. Attack on Titan is my absolute favourite track (Love Vogel im Käfig as well) and sawano hiroyuki turns everything he touches to gold. But if you actually expierence these songs in context of Attack on Titan the show... It hits so much deeper. Attack on Titan is an absolute masterpiece of an anime. I'd like also the recommend the song from SawanoHiroyuki [nZk]:Tielle named "cage". I love this song so much.

Kevin Penkin, Hiroyuki Sawano and Yu-Peng Chen are my favorite modern composers, along with the people at Hoyo-Mix. Speaking of Kevin Penkin, you HAVE to check out his work for the animes: Made in Abyss, The Rising of the Shield Hero, The Apothecary Diaries, Tower of God and Wolf and Spice. Some recomendations for each are VOH, OhKami, My Hometown, Irregular God, and Winter Solstice; corresponding to the animes mentioned above. There are many more from each anime OST you should definitely check out!

You should react to Morbius by Hiroyuki Sawano. It has the two vocalists from the last song in the suite and sounds almost like a 007 opening song.

I didnt see anyone mention in the comments, so heres a bit of info - the genius behind this music, Hiroyuki Sawano? He's the one on the piano. Oh, and in case you ever go looking for his work, he likes to name his songs weird and esoteric things so you might have a little trouble finding specific tracks at first.

Sawano really has a gift. It's emotional now when you're totally in the dark, just imagine the experience when you know the context in which they're used in the anime. If you're looking into great anime OST music I think you should give the Made in Abyss OST a try from Kevin Penkin. "Transcendance and Hanezeve" and "Hanezeve Caradhina" are two must listen to tracks. I also noticed you listened to a bunch of video game tracks. Do you know the OST from Nier Automata? If not, the whole album's just a unique piece of art and mostly song in the Chaos language (invented for this game franchise, or even specifically for the OSTs). If you're not a "let's make a 2h long reaction to an entire album" kind of guy, an outstanding couple of tracks: Memories of Dust, Birth of a Wish, A Beautiful Song, and most importantly - Weight of the World (Japanese version, or just Japanese, English, and End of YoRHa versions if you're in the mood).

The show is even better than the music You should really watch the show, one of the greatest works of fiction, some people disliked how it ended but the journey is worth it. Watched the anime since day one and 10 years later I was there for the last episode. What an experience.
