Thank you for posting this video. I must admit I was "masyadong nadidlaw ako" especially when I heard the bystanders talk in that sing-song Ilongo. It reminds me of my childhood. We left Bacolod, Philippines in 1974 and I no longer recognize the sites, except for the San Sebastian Church and the Plaza. I have never been back and I have been living in Northern Ontario for decades now. Where I am there are no Ilongo speakers. You have no idea how this video means to me.

I see no padyaks (pedal tricycles) or 3 wheel bajaj tuk tuks on the streets. Are they banned in the Western Visayas? I saw none on an Iloilo video.
@4kwalkerph Жыл бұрын
I saw an article that says those kinds of vehicles are banned in the national highway of iloilo
@hdrider201100 Жыл бұрын
@4kwalkerph Thank you. I saw that too. The videos I watched showing city traffic didn't show any of them on the streets.
@hirayamanawari2120 Жыл бұрын
Yes, those vehicles are banned in Bacolods main streets unless its for private use or beyond ban hours i believe from 10pm to 6am

Changes is more apparent,your lenses didn’t catch the now of the city, the outer rim is where to catch the development, the central tier is part of history that needs repair and preservation the only way downtown is in touch with reality is upgrade and widen the sidewalks throughout the district, notice puv are available in both port to service incoming passengers

Lots of seafood everywhere. No excuses to not eat healthy there. I hope they keep the city clean. I didn't see hardly any American expats. I worry I am going to be the only one there. But I know the people are very nice.

I grew up in Mexico City from 11yrs to 30 yrs. This city reminds me on downtown Mexico. It’s really not charming. I’m more for beaches, or smaller cities.

You only roamed and showed the old downtown area, nothing more. You went to Bacolod City just to show Banana cue, the seafood vendors along the streets and the fishes and crabs? You only showed a small portion of Bacolod City man!

There are 145 cities and 1,489 municipalities in the Philippines. My goal is to do a Walking Tour of each and every city /municipality of the whole Philippines in the shortest time possible. Due to time constraints and limited resources, I won't be able to feature all of the significant spots of the places I visit. My intent is just to show a glimpse of those places as much as time and resources would permit. I understand that some places warrant more than just a glimpse or a taste. (Bacolod is definitely one of them, and yes a revisit in the future is in order) Also I had to hurry up to catch my flight back to Manila that same day.

You ought to change the title of your video coz it matters for us Bacolodnons what you are posting on You Tube. Your title is implying what is being depicted on your video. What "NOW" means for us is a progressive Bacolod City!
