I really love the idea of this bible with it being a daily undated reader focused on Jesus in every part of scripture...but in alot of its study notes and articles (especially in the who, what, where, & why sections), the focus seems to be on giving a reformed baptist view of each book of the bible. I also felt that many of the articles about Christ did have that focus as well, unfortunately. To have an undated daily reading bible focused on Christ is so great for the church, it's just a shame that it couldnt be more ecumenical. I feel like many different kinds of Christians can benefit from a hyper focus on typology and allusions to Christ in the notes that are universally agreed upon.

@@anickelsworthbiblereviews that's true, I expect that bias in most of their extra-biblical content. It is odd, though, as I know they don't wish for their translation to be seen as a Southern Baptist translation (often marketing it as ecumenical) and yet much of their study content is very much within their tradition.

Thanks for mentioning this, I wouldn't know this being a person new to bibles and study. At this point I just want simple no bias text so Lifeway will be off my list. Would be nice if this was mentioned in the review.
